I bought some cheap cards off of them before. I think it was worth $3 all in all. Never got to me... I had to email and complain until they sent them again. And it was missing one card too...
I was thinking somewhere around the $10-15 range. Just because it was given to the top 8 of each Game Day event. In my store though, they had extra copies and they gave it away randomly to folks who didn't make top 8. So maybe DCI didn't give each store just 8 copies? IDK, but I think the $10-15 range is decent for it.
And, its almost 100% certain Elspeth WONT be reprinted in Zendikar right?
I think we can all be sure of that. Make it 10000% sure. But nevertheless, I've had luck with Baneslayers. Out of the 3 times I got M10 packs, I pulled a Baneslayer twice (one in sealed, another in prize packs from draft). So IDK if she's really that hard to find.
i think Elspeths price is partially driven by the casual market cause she is cool
Anyway, I would trade my Baneslayer Angel for an Elspeth any day. Why? Well, collector's value will hold for Elspeth. Baneslayer, I think even if she doesn't flood the market until God knows when, her price will go down. Baneslayer is good, don't get me wrong, but not more than $20 good. Elspeth will hold value just because you can hardly find copies of her.
EDIT: And to add, I traded my Baneslayer Angel for an Elspeth to one of our members here.
Oh definitely. They just put the price of 14.99 there to make people sell their promo Garruks to them at a low price. THEN, when they have "enough" stock, they'll go around and sell them at around 15 - 20.
The same can be said for the Agents of Artifice Jace. He now sells for around $5 more than the book sold for with the promo card.
Am I the ONLY person who thinks 'GAIR-ruck' sounds stupid? I guess I pronounce it 'gah-ROOK' because I think a G savage hunter would like his name to be pronounced like that.
I've argued about this before, and blast I don't have the link but Garruk is actually pronounced Garr (as in Garden)-uhk. This is not much different from the "hair" pronunciation, which I prefer.
As long as you're not saying Garruk as if it were Guh-Ruke (like "fluke"), which warrants a punch in the face, you're fine.
Wizards has given an official pronounciation of Jace's name. It's Bel-lair-n. (except ignore the first 'l'.)
I know, it's totally ugly. Note this is the short pronunciation of 'lair', not the fancy one.
Also for Bolas: Ni-kuhll bowl-es. It's not the same as nickle, because this guy's name has an actual vowel between the [k] and the [l]. That vowel is the same as the one in 'puck'.

It was already explained earlier. They sac for multiple turns, drop more lands more artifacts, when you run out of stuff to sac, play open the vaults, lather, rinse, repeat, kill. It's crazy. I knew open the vaults might see some play, but this just took me by surprise. This is great.
Although, drop an underworld dreams and it'll be a race to kill their draws or they kill you.
yea, i was thinking of dropping the elspeth. It is a one of and doesnt neccesarily add to the theme. I guess it was originally in here because i like her

But seriously, I think adding more enchantments could do you good too. Asha's Favor, Shield of the Oversoul, etc. etc.
The moment your TO reports to DCI about his last event, it becomes filed as "received". It'll take a few days before it becomes "processed". The moment it becomes processed, thats when your rewards points/ratings are updated.
needs to be more Focused. I get the howling mines draw thru the one ofs. But you need some way to put the extra land into play, either run some fertile Ground/rampant growth action or Farhaven elf. something to accel.

And when it comes to the nitty gritty, no matter how many stalling spells you have, you'll have a hard time playing your bomb wincons.

You could also drop the Archangel to complete your Hierarch playset, but I see the usefulness of the Archangel late game.
