I think with its sudden spike Jace is out of my price range, but Ancestral Vision, Jushi Apprentice, Phyrexian Arena, Yawgmoth's Bargain, Gifts Ungiven and Whispers of the Muse are all great. Great suggestions so far
i'm building a 250-card singleton deck, and i need some decent, cheap (both money and mana-wise) spells that draw cards. Currently i have:
Ponder
Brainstorm
Serum Visions
Night's Whisper
Telling Time
Ior Ruin Expedition
Impulse
Think Twice
Sign in Blood
Words of Wisdom
Compulsive Research
Thirst for Knowledge
Mulldrifter
Court Hussar
Concentrate
Harmonize
Ambition's Cost
Deep Analysis
Fact or Fiction
Probe
Allied Strategies
Sphinx of Lost Truths
Tidings
Mind Spring
Braingeyser
95 lands is the equivalent of about 22.5 lands in a 60 card deck, which seems low. However, I've run 85 lands in my Online Prismatic deck with no problems.
Also, I'm looking for large, game-winning combos that only take a single card to work. So far I have Scapeshift/Valakut, Planar Portal/Beacon of Immortality, Tooth & Nail/Eternal Witness/beater, and Mindslaver/Academy Ruins. Does anyone have any more?
-2 Child of Night
-1 Hideous End
-1 Rise from the Grave
-1 Sanguine Bond
-1 Diabolic Tutor
-1 Consume Spirit
-1 Kalatis, Bloodchief of Ghet
-1 Hideous End
+1 Vampire Hexmage
+2 Malakir Bloodwitch
+1 Feast of Blood
+3 Sign in Blood
+2 Swamp
These are too strong, if anything. The blue one is a one mana Wall of Denial and the red one is better than Elite Vanguard. The others are fine (though Wither and Shadow don't mesh together well).
Total overhaul; the deck is much stronger and focused now. In keeping with Sleepy Hollow's theme of "your past defines you", my goal is to continuously reanimate creatures with CITP effects until I overwhelm the opponent.
The cards should be able to "illustrate" the entire story. The problem is that the deck itself is horrendously weak and aimless. There's a vague creature recursion theme going and a zombie theme going (Headless Horseman is also a zombie), but that's about it. Does anyone have suggestions?

1) Permanent-based mill. Cards like Millstone, Hedron Crab, and Nemesis of Reason.
2) Permanent-based draw. Howling Mine, Jace, Font of Mythos.
3) Sorcery/instant mill. One-shot cards that hit for a lot. Sanity Grinding, Haunting Echoes, and Glimpse the Unthinkable.
4) Combo mill. Instantly mills your opponent's deck. Grindstone/Painter, Helm/Leyline, Solidarity, or Tolarian Academy/Stroke of Genius-based decks.
Maybe you can work off this?
