W/B Flying is super buff. Cards like welkin turn and arctic aven allow you to kill your opponent really quick.
U/B Control & Flying is also very powerful. Harbor bandit with a couple or flying guys can kill you opponent while you play counters, kill sells and unsummons. White also has some good removal with O-rings and pacifism. This is the deck I drafted friday and did very well.
W/B Exalted is very power full but it is way over drafted so it is hard to pull off. You have to be the only person doing it to make it work.
R/G Aggro is always good. Just get a but of good creatures and you can wreak your opponent. Cards like rancor are really good and red has some good burn spells.
@njsnel: As far as I can tell, those cards don't care how many lands entered the battlefield under your control that turn - just that any amount greater than 0 did.
I need some clarification on Groundswell and some of the other worldwake cards. "Landfall- If you had a land enter the battlefield under your control this turn ...."
This ability does not double if you had multiple lands enter that turn. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Groundswell
Instant (common)
Target creature gets +2/+2 until end of turn.
Landfall - If you had a land enter the battlefield under your control this turn, that creature gets +4/+4 until end of turn instead.
Main deck Lightning bolt and Burstlightning. If you know who your opponent is and you know they have life gain main deck punishing fire if not sideboard it.
Sweepers are annoying, but okay, espcially if we have a Bloodbraid
hole.
I was play testing by blightning bloodbraid deck yesterday and I had a plated geoplede, hellspark elemental out and I played my bloodbraid cascading into a volcanic fallout ........ FAIL !!!!!!!
Then I moved the 2 fallouts to my sideboard for a blightning and a punishing fire. That tought me a lesson.
When the block rotated we lost some good cards from the blightning deck. Cards like demigod of revenge bitter blossem and figure of destiny are no longer with us but will still have some of the cards and some new. I was thinking of ways to make my blightning deck still work. I read about using bloodbraid elf in a Red deck (I dont remember where is if you where the one that came up with the idea please take credit). So here is the basics of what I have so far.
I need input on my manabase sideboard and cards in the deck. Do I have the proportions right? I usaly run 24 lands but I am not sure what to take out. Also with the mana base I have see other cards that might be used like M10 dual lands and terramorphic expanse, I need feedback on how I would go about this. Any and all feedback is welcome
Considering the Orb shot out 28 returns for the creature subtype Kor, one can expect (hopefully) a strong showing. For a set / block that was not expected to have a strong tribal theme to it, we certainly are certainly seeing quite a bit in the one-third of the set spoiled so far.
The set is looking like it will have alot of tribal themes. The ones I see are Goblins (red) Elves (green) Kor (white) Vampire (Black) and maby Merfok (blue). There are defenetly going to be some decks with these types in them.
Soldiers are looking very strong post rotation not just in look but power too. I think I am going to make a white weenie soldier deck with cards like Capain of the Watch, Elite vanguard, veteran Smiths, martial coup and the new Kor cards. I looks like it might be good.
Since soldiers will most likely by pretty strong in post rotation white wennie decks the Kor type is looking good. Is a kor like a kithkin or somthing?
They look amazing. Lol you could just sit there any draft cool looking lands all night. There will be more 13th 14th and 15th land picks. Once I get some of the cards Im going for the lands.
I know we don't have all the Zendikar spoilers yet and there are a lot more to come but I just wanted to start compiling of decks that could be desent after block rotation. Add any ones you think of too.
White weenie/ Solider deck
Blazing Furry deck (Blazing Chandra, aggro burn deck)
Underworld rush deck (mono black aggro)
R/G/B Ramp deck (bloodbraid, burn, aggro and cascade)
WU control (meddling mage ext)
RB Blighting (not as good but still a possibility)
5 color control

That is what I thought. Thanks for the help
