Yes. That's fine. You play to win. Who knows, a Wrath could have been coming out? Or three STPs?

This totally reminds me of the Three Wolf Moon T-Shirt. If you're not familiar with the product, http://www.amazon.com/Mountain-Mens-Three-Short-Sleeve/dp/B002HJ377A gives plenty of reviews of this amazing T-Shirt that will help your sex life in unimaginable ways!

Also <3 Laura. She made my favorite alters, a set of extended border Merrow Reejeries that I own.

A truly amazing alter for a truly amazing card. I would totally run this in my vintage deck.

So I had just gotten back into Magic and I was playing at my college, with some new players. I was playing with a white weenie T2 deck that was probably legal when Exodus was new. The guy I was playing against was using a mono green Aurochs tribal deck. Now, important to the story at this point was that he was black. I drop a White Knight, and he reads it, and it says "Protection from black." He looks down at the card, then looks at me, with an entirely serious face, and says, "That means I can't attack you, right?" I facepalm.

Sadly I have to say Domain. I was really excited when Domain cards were reprinted because I played Domain in Invasion Block, and I love that deck. But in the current standard, there is almost no use for basic lands other than a couple one offs to fetch when your dude gets Path to Exiled.

To preface this, my conduct is impeccable at big events. But I'm the guy at the local FNM who complains, talks trash, but everyone knows he's got a sense of humor about it. I just say such outlandish (and usually vulgar) things that everyone's like, "OK, he's not really mad." Honestly? Sometimes I am. But the I get along really well with the majority of our pretty large store. This is not, of course, without exception.

The lower table dreks have a few regulars that complain about netdecks, have horrible BO, and personality disorders, who also complain they can't afford any decent rares. They have been known to break down and cry, start fights that nearly go into the physical range, and on one occassion? Crap their pants. Literally. I've had a couple of these people attempt to cheat with things like mana, and when they get caught in their mistake they typically end up getting enraged and having an outburst. Why these players haven't been kicked out of the store is beyond me. This type of player at my store has generally been playing there for 2-3 years, has no social life outside of Magic, and is living at home and in their early 20s.

On the other end of the spectrum, we also have a lot of newer players, some young, some old, who also populate the lower tables on a regular basis. But the rest of the store does their best for the willing players to raise them into "pros," and we've had quite a few people go from worst to first. It's standard conduct at my store to offer to deck check if our opponent loses and seems to have odd card choices, manabases, and even give cards to some of the younger players without jobs who can't afford some of the staples.

Altogether though I'm very glad to have local store in which I can cuss and swear and insult my opponent and just elicit a knowing grin from them. It really keeps most of the players from taking the game too seriously and quashes situations where there would generally be hostility.

Personally in the kithkin/tokens matchup I board in 4 Wrath and that's about it. They don't run Larks too often anymore, so with your larks you're usually in a much better condition and have much better come into play effects. You can easily bait them by dropping one of your two drops and then intentionally missing the 3 drop, and you'll usually hit their spectral or something else juicy, and then lark back a silvergill adept or something.

    2x Arcan Sanctum
    1x Island
    1x Plains

list is solid let me know what you guys think also need sb help

This is a horrible list. You're taking mono white tokens and adding to it two merfolk, which are quite possibly the weakest part of the merfolk deck and have no synergy with tokens. U/W Sygg would only help itself, Wake Thrasher, and Mutavault. Meddling Mage isn't that bad here, but basically realize what you just posted is not a merfolk deck, nor does it seem like it would work very well. It runs four crypitic commands as its total control suite, has way too many CIPT lands and a relatively high curve. I'm sorry, but I just see no redeeming quality to this deck.

There's no doubt that Meddling Mage is a fantastic card, but I don't see it as the answer for Fallout. It's too fragile. A better solution is forge tender, or Mark of Asylum. Especially against decks that run Firespout or Pyroclasm in addition to Fallout, which are rampant in my neck of the woods. Mage is not good maindeck here in my opinion.

Looks cool, but I can't play it on my current computer; not because of any system requirements, but because I'm using a small laptop with a very low resolution. It would be cool if it could scale a little more. I'll definitely test this out on PC with a higher resolution though.

mirrislegend: I have a couple playsets of acrylic altered cards that I play heavily with, (one set actually from Laura) and shuffling hasn't cracked them after a couple hundred games, so I assume you're alright.

Okay... this is my first post, so be nice :p

I've been watcing this section for a very long time, and I'm very keen to get into altering my own cards, but the problem is, I don't know where to begin...

I've got loads of cards that I could have a crack at... so that's not a problem.

The problem is, what do you guys and gals do from there? In terms of do you erase the part you want to edit? And if so, what do you use to erase that part of the card?

From the beginning of this thread, people have been saying that Sharpies are good, as are the Games Workshop Citadel paints (which I have some), so which do you prefer and which gives better quality?

Sorry if these are noob extrodanaire questions, but I would be truely appreciative if you could give me an insight Smile

Basically, if you use acrylics you won't have to erase anything and can just paint on top of the card. Use thin layers.
