Rd 1 2-1 against mono green aggro, rd 2 1-2 vs mono green aggro, rd 3 2- vs uw delver, rd 4 2-0 uw delver, rd 5 1-2 vs bant pod, rd 6 2-0 vs bw tokens and rd 7 2-0 vs esper tokens
So no I didn't play against in the event but I have tested it and its 50-50. I really can't figure out what can be added in the deck to make it favorable for us. I really don't want to add counter magic in the side.
Yesterday I played in the Top Deck Games Winter Open in the standard portion with a 5 color deck. I went 5-2 getting 13th losing to mono green aggro and bant pod both of them went to game 3 with them getting amazing starts. On to the list.
My lcg had 29 players. I played u/w shape anew and went 4-0-1 IDing the final round to get out earlier. Beat bant pod, tempered steel, mono black and solar flare. Worked on an interest Architect built
Now the sideboard was just thrown together but the blessings dispatchs and offerings were the only things i kept bringing in. I was thinking of adding spellskite and.or etched champions to the side. Any thoughts?
Also ill do a quick run down of gameday fnm was 2 rdws and 2 caw blade i drew with my friend playing rdw in the finals.
Rd 1 Soul Sisters
Game 1 He starts gaining a ton of life but I was able to have a puresteel with and inkmoth getting free equip to poison him out. Game 2 he gets 3 priests and i lose to them fast. Game 3 I end up poisoning him out the turn he combos for a million when he removes my sword of war and peace instead of my batterskull which allowed me to hit for 10 exact.
Rd 2 RDW
I win in 2 after turn 2 mystic for sword of war and peace and he drew no outs.
Rd 3 Cawblade
Came down to who had mystic turn 2 and the was me game 1 and 3 and having an active puresteel on 4.
Rd 4 UB control
I win in 2 quick games after i get turn 2 mystic for feast and famine and turn 3 crusdaer both games but in game 2 he inquizitioned me and saw 2 crusader and the sword on his turn 3 and packed it up.
Rd 5 BW something
He had lots of discard and removal and I ended up winning after i stick a sword of feast and famine and metamorphing his sun titan to start getting back my stuff. Game 2 he kept a 1 lander with 4 discard spells and never drew his second land.
We cut to top 4 and I had to play Br Vamps
Game 1 my mortarpods finally showed up and took care of his only guys and he has no bolts or trails for my crusader. Game 2 he gets flooded hard and i get a turn 3 batterskull.
Finals UR Splinter Twin
Game he plays alot of dig spells and I mystic up a collar and a mortarpod that sit there til he tried to go off and i had a dismember for his 2nd one. Game 2 he misplays when he drops the exarch and doesnt into the roil my germ with collar and shows me 3 twins ouch.
sorry for not being to in-depth with my explainations. I would advise you not to move the pridemage, its a big help vs vial decks and especially against counterbalance. I keep moving a knight out when testing other creatures. If you do want the main deck teeg then cut GSZ to 3. My biggest worry is the metalworker deck being popular in dc/edison. Thats why i added the grudges and paths to the side over grims and jittes. path is also a better choice vs junk and death n taxes decks that have become popular in its various forms. My best advice for playing the deck is to be relax, have fun and enjoy yourself, their is no need to stress with this deck.
ad- your side just has to much hate for only 1-2 decks. you need more options available.
zmatt- that side is almost identical to what i played in indy and its only good for a tribal meta then a countertop meta.
coug- after playin and further testing crypt is just to easy for an opponent to play around thats why i switched to ravenous traps. just like mindbreak they dont assume u have it.

basically the jittes and emrakul r the slots i am ify on. the jittes come in again merfolk and the emrakul against grinder decks mainly. i really havent tested out his usefulness in other matches. ideas?
i dont think its crappy tech. i have tested again painter/stone and show n tell. the emarkul is the only thing i could think of to help those match ups. there is probably better cards suited for those match ups, i was only offering my suggestion of a side board.
