I wonder how the owner of the LGS in Forney feels about Wal*Mart releasing RTR product early...
Yeah, Forney is up and coming and all. But it does not have a LGS as far as i know. Something like half of the businesses are antique stores lining the highway and there are three paper mills. That's about it.
Mill myself, unburial rites auramancer or trinket Mage. (or something huge that just wins.) or remember the fallen (remember the fallen gets either Mage or auramancer or elixir) or razor hippogriff the elixir. (or frantic salvage or salvage scout.) there are at least options pre rotation.
Inspired by the popular limited deck... Lost in the woods!
58 Forest
4 Lost in the woods
62 cards because you want to be able to mill them out even if they choose for you to go first. No serum powder, because what happens if you reveal one off the lost in the woods? You'd be found! You'd no longer be lost! Until the next attack at the least, but at that point I think your just trying to get lost.
The thing I hate about Battle of Wits is opening it in any pack I'll buy.
Draft - unplayable
Sealed - unplayable
Random pack - frustrating
The new art is nice but seriously, why couldn't they just reprint it in a Commander deck instead? I already feel sorry for those who will open this garbage card (although a fun one).
I can only speak for standard but...
I highly doubt that, removal is almost the best it has ever been in magic's long history. Red is not at it's peak. (no bolt, goblin guide, ball lightning, char, or even a Planeswalker that furthers this deck's plan.) this card will be sided out of the game plenty of the time and as is being discussed in this thread, it doesn't say "R: deal 4 to your opponents face." it won't be what you want it to be 80% of the time and it will still be playable. Plus, a lot of whiners were complaining that red wasn't interactive. This is what you get!
This feels like a red ability. Red is the color of freedom, and this card steps from one world to the next on a whim, free of the bindings of reality. Unfortunately blue is the color of cool new effects and that wins out in the end.
No, blue mages and creatures defy death and restrictions through magic. Red mages and creatures do not seek out eternal life, quite the contrary, red believes that the flame that burns brightest, burns out twice as fast.
I doubt that.. cause once you cast the anvil and exile a card, than the card's name is imprinted on the anvil and it stays there. It shouldn't be checking the card at the exile pile constantly cause it's name is on the anvil..
Nope, it imprints that card. Not the name of the card. Once the card is removed from exile associated with the imprinter, it is no longer imprinted.
I'll admit these are a shameless plug as well.

Because they want it in standard. I do as well.
Also of note, noble hierarch fits in the number crunch and makes sense in this set.

Lol at emptying pool between phases anyway.
