That could work, except Iridescent Mirage would need a "comes into play" ability naming a color.
I think Wizards is shying away from cards that you keep changing colors for. I remember the pain of keeping track of the color for Jeweled Amulet. I'm not sure of an easier way of doing a land like this though.
As zkornz said, current planeswalkers don't support static abilities. I just don't see room on the card. Maybe sometime they will create a planeswalker with a static ability and then two loyalty affecting abilities. But I think this makes them too much like creatures.
I think it's a neat idea if they were in the original frames and art. But then the market would be flooded with proxies and you would have to specify in your games "no Proxies."
I'm... speechless. Have you even played magic? Lands are what make the game work. You can't remove a fundamental part of the game. It's just fine how it is. Just work on your mana base.
Yes, it's quite common for places to charge entry into tournaments. It's perfectly legal for them to do it. It helps pay for that free pack you are getting.
