Haven't seen this posted here... although maybe I haven't gone deep enough through this thread. I posted this in Speculation, but not in a fitting thread.

Regarding the new Emrakul, I watched the Magic Mics show couple of nights ago and they said Emrakul might be a double transform card. How does that work? Remember B.F.M. from Unglued? It's a creature that requires 2 cards to be complete. Rumor has it that new Emrakul is going to be similar in the sense that there are 2 artifacts (or a creature and an artifact or whatever combination of permanents) that can transform and on each of those cards' backs will be a half of the new Emrakul. That sounds crazy, but very Mark Rosewater-esque, knowing that MaRo designed B.F.M. in the first place. If that is the case, too bad Nahiri can't sneak new Emrakul with her ultimate... but we might see some special tutors for the two cards.

To support this rumor, the guys over at Magic Mics said that there were some test prints in Oath of the Gatewatch that had normal cards on one face and half of an Endbringer on the other side. Notice that the Endbringer has the template placeholder for the Day/Night icons http://imgur.com/a/mQc8R Those "misprints" sold on ebay for around $300.

The 2 card DFC is interesting. And after seeing the latest Haniewer Chronicle article announcing only twin births, maybe they will have twin cards that transform into some other monster if you have both on the battlefield.

If 2 card dfc are a thing, the front side will still have to be usefull for limited.

The most interesting thing is what appears to be a tentacle in the foreground of the Hydra....

  • posted a message on something fishy about those clue tokens
ok..I just noticed something about the clue tokens... didnt see it posted yet. They are not shown in card # order. They are out of order compared to how the creature tokens were listed on the mothership article.

    11, 13, 14, 12, 15, 16

    Is this a clue itself?

It could be something simple as the Conotaion of biblical use as to why it is different. China is pretty stickler when it comes to Christianity references.

But, my attention was brought to this clue because the specifically pointed it out and posted an enlarged image.

    Letter\Symbol Arrangement?

    _ N N _ _ U U P _ P

Possibly a matching game? (Match the pairs of symbols/letters)

Could it be that we are mistaken with some of the letters?

I'm starting to wonder about Tamiyo's fate. Has she just left for someplace else? If so, why leave your journal behind as a researcher? Slight use on other cards like Pore Over the Pages (which we now see is def her journal)"was on to something" instead of "is on to something" could point to something happening to her. Just a thought.

It is not solved yet check twitter in fact as of 20 mins before this post noone had solved this

It is solved. Heir of Falkenrath was the first preview from it. Then they posted that when they get enough emails to the answer, they will release the final card.

The puzzle is answered by counting the gems of each tribe and counting letters of the gem names to find EDGAR

Cold aren't has 5 gems, unknown has 3, etc.

Well. Actually. I guess they are waiting for a certain number of people to email and they will reveal the last Markov Manor preview card. So keep sending emails to the edgar email

Unfortunately, it was solved by counting the number of gems and then entering the corresponding numbers to spell out Edgar. Which we already got the spoiler for.

  • posted a message on Werewolf planeswalker biography from the mothership
To her horror, she regained her senses in the morning—but not her human form. For better or worse, the experience of retaining her human mind in wolf form gave her a new appreciation for the wild spirit that shared her body. The only way she could return to her human form was to planeswalk back to Innistrad, but now she finds that she can control the transformation, in both directions, with relative ease.

With the little information we have, this part of her biography makes me think that she wasn't experienced enough to transform back to human form, but after practice she could... not that she can't transform on other planes. But we will find out more I am sure.
