Sort of felt there was a lot against the idea of 70+ card decks. I play minor combo and goblin most often, and cant survive without getting certain cards rushed out asap. I guess it is limited to survival.
Like, perhaps say a draw and discard counterspell blue deck, or otherwise. Not enough of a certain card can make the difference, even if its a creature bash deck not enough creatures would be equal enough to compete.
Rule for Legacy states min card range for a deck is 60, max is infinite given you dont need help to shuffle the deck. (Shuffling requires you halving the deck and mixing the two stacks basicly) - read in various spots, dont quote me directly.
The topic: what is the benefit of running a deck of 61+ cards? Obviously search cards could benefit a very diverse deck and anti-mill decks, with cards such as Extirpate at their disposal. Then there is that wincondition blue card, deck at 100+ cards is vctory. A big bust of having 30+ lands required to make the deck viable in most deck types.
I dont quite see the benefit here, perhaps to get just a few extra cards in deck when the player feels the need for a few more things? Being prepared for all things with no real gimmick to a sly combo for a first turn victory seems a shabby tradeoff.
I have no idea what this incoherent rambling actually means. And yes, it is possible to steal someone else's idea. Either you blatantly copied the idea of someone else or simply laid claim to a combo before someone else, intellectually property is a factor and many minds have debated over the whole philosophy. Laying claim to an idea and going public with a combo before someone else isn't a rare situation, however.
You will never win with this deck by turn 5. Nightmare Lash is hands down the best peice of equipment you can run in a black Shadow creature deck and it gets downright nasty with Fireshrieker, though I prefer Loxodon Warhammer over the latter. I don't see your deck winning before turn 8 and you happen to not run Thoughtseize and Hymn to Tourach which makes your list fundamentally flawed to the extreme. You might want to check this forum out right here. You'd fit right in amongst these folks.
Geez I just responded to your half-attempt to anger me in another thread. You really dont like me do you? In broad daylight when I disagree with you, you've declaired me an inferior in a subtle way. I may have to consult a moderator if this continues.
Again I state that its a moderator's stance to tell me where I should and should not post.
Nightmare Lash instead of Nightmare losing 3 life+using 2 cards for the same effect.. Worthwhle at 5+ swamps in comparison to two Dauthi's with 2 power that cost 2 each. Speed is what this deck needs, its clocked out at turn 5 to kill I want to make that quicker without using so much mana.
No such thing as stealing ideas in magic, the game has been around for so long its probable that all possible combinations have been invented already, we're all just copying some unknown face from another part of the world. (Hence why I dish out all my combo's online without shame). You gotta' play people with those decks anyways and they got mouthes and wallets too. =)
Coat of Arms is a card I prefer over the rest of those high buffers as a finisher card in an unbockable deck, will try to keep it 3 and below.
I think I have a little different way to take this deck, since worthwhile buffs are really needed I think I will splash red. Grafted Wargear is a nice one, but if I pay 3 already, then another 3 to remove 50% of his life it would have a higher effect, including deathtouch to remove big creatures when defending (dreadnoughts).
Reckless Charge for a haste and flashback run, really needed midgame. Double Cleave I'm still unsure of. If there were more small critters with Double Strike I could go with bypassing effects utilising the spike but its not to be.
Then again, white has better shadow creatures without the dark rituals. Green+Black rush could run with pure buffs. Tough choices.. Perhaps running with a rush of buffs and disregard the disrutpion can be the real option, I'll bark up a list without disruption to see how it looks and plays.
Hatred seems like a good card for the deck, spend 19 life for a 1/1 to kill the opponent. Partially tempted to trade out some swamps for Lotus Petals and the like for a little more speed. Grafted Wargear packs a decent punch, Armaments for the Dauthi Warlord to equip for free for a tall buffer on par with goblin piledriver. Kept the spike for its tactical ability.
Noticed nothing particularly in the proven section that puts forth a beatdown thats unblockable for the majority other then combination and/or few fear/shadow creatures. I've always wanted to do an unblockable deck, but feared it would be inferior to rushing goblin decks in which they have no numbers to match it. Or decks that have a beatdown characteristic of creature abilities that are superior, leaving me no choice but to sacrifice them while blocking.
I'll try anyways, though I dont know how effective the deck can be in the long run. Help on maindeck card choices much appreciated.
This is just the variant idea. Sidebord would include Filth and perhaps a change in disruption to discard him from my own hand or pluck him from the deck (Buried Alive) ? Sounds funny I suppose. Ideas? Tempted to add some more mana rushers though...
Edit:
Might go with white or red splashing for Double Cleave for the Quietus Spike to do double half-life removals. 20 down to 4 or 5. (The spike is mostly for defense against monsterous critters)
Titan is brought out by the silly Captain as a nice shocker, the kithin search card works for the changelings as well as the kithins. Its not a sturdy deck, but it mirrors my goblin deck best I can find so far. Really, I find no real cards other then mana reducers that boast a soldier deck.
Thanks, thats a different direction to take this. Though the whole Proteus Staff uprising and this deck which has no creatures could stack 4 Glimpse the Unthinkable back-to-back. Given 53 is in the deck to start with, and 4 drawn by the time 4 could be played (theoreticly 4) its a thin deck by then.
Oh its a project in the works. I plan on having that reference as role types to run with. Even using familiars like Nightscape Familiar to keep up with the goblin decks.
Like, the role of cheapening others, the familiars + card-specific cheapeners like Dragonspeaker Shaman + Edgewalker coud make a good majority of W/B 3cc changelings 0. Even perhaps figure out a rush thats on par with goblins. I have a little bump in the road and cant continue just yet, I may add a few more before I get the little project going. I feel there should be more smaller critter beatdown decks out there. Guys mind posting your shell preferences in artifacts and the like? A quick "card+card and these lands" would be cool. Like that crucible-dual land combo.
Here I will demonstrate a little on what I mean with the endproject. http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=94223
He put plenty into his project deck, and its all well thought through. If other decks could, comparatively have some more slim ways to pull a similar meta in a different way (as many ways there is to be had in 1.5) using lets say, wizards or a mixdeck abusing Mirror Entity. I post all, then when the categories filter out its a matter of boggling the cheaper, rush options and power stuff. I did this for 1.0 and someone made this infinite second turn untap deck I cant remember for the life of me. I hope on a forum this time, something else can be achieved. Searches can limit wording, as many different types as there are.
My hands doin' the work - I'll posture things afterwards. I use this resource from time to time, and this site's card popup takes less out of the computer. All in the sake of trying. =)
Edit:
Finn, keep trying. I was fiddling with soldier possibilities earlier, its all about a quick rush because Preeminent Captain and Ballyrush Banneret are like Goblin Lackey and Goblin Warchief, take the goblin innovation decks for example!
-Changeling Titan comes to mind for tapped+attacking bit (better then lackey!).
The end resut of all this work has yet to be introduced Xanth =)
I plan on posting up the top goblin decks on this forum, and use this as the reference to build other decks that can match (possibly beat) the goblin types. No worries man, I use a better search then the gatherer..
Like, perhaps say a draw and discard counterspell blue deck, or otherwise. Not enough of a certain card can make the difference, even if its a creature bash deck not enough creatures would be equal enough to compete.
Idea abandoned. Thanks for the opinions.

A disruption+draw deck perhaps the solution?
Cursed Totem can replace any tap-effect creatures you have such as a Prodigal Sorcerer if you chose to have any as an alternate wincondition.
0-casted Chalice of the Void can block the no mana required cast cards that bypass your lock.
Cant think of anything else at the moment that you can fiddle with.

Same sort of feel to the Pox/stax types but a bit more akward I suppose? Any card changes you would suggest for the discard plot and kill plot?
Either two ways, graveyard bounce using Priest of Yawgmoth or creature bounce Stern Proctor+Dream Stalker. Also, Transmute Artifact in addition to the grave-bounce using Twincast for some quick synergy.
Though its easier to tap-remove decks if you want infinite.
Grimoire Thief+Paradise Mantle+Freed from the Real. (6 mana total)
Or... Second Wind.. This card for real?
Proteus Staff+Sylvan Tutor(search cards)+small critters that do things when they come into play like Ravenous Rats, Elvish Visionary, even Nantuko Tracer.
Or even go with ripplestacking like my rule question post shortly before this thread.

Wording states spell you control that costs 2 or less, thats on the stack to be copied, yes? Familiars could widen the options and cheapen the cards.
Edit:
While on the subject. Manamorphose with a Heartstone = infinite draw if you wish for it.
