I don't think there is any way you could ever drop the Nighthawks, they are so good in an aggro meta. With all the fixing you have in this format, it should hardly ever be a problem, and if you do, add a few guildgates if you wish.
I'm playing something similar to this and found that Champion of the Parish was amazing in it. With 16 humans in the deck, he will almost always be a 3/3 or larger. I also tried Cathedral of War in the deck and found that Vault of the Archangel was just better for late game, both that it doesn't come into play tapped and it also makes combat more difficult for your opponent. LIke it was said before, Lingering Souls definitely has a place in this deck. Sorin, Lord of Innistrad could also fit here as a token/emblem producer, making your exalted even better. Hope this helps, good luck.
Ooh, I just read the rulings on evoke and didn't realize that cards like Havengul Lich can cast creatures for their evoke costs even while in the graveyard. That's pretty saucy.
How would the evoke trigger work on Mulldrifter and Shriekmaw? Would you pay the evoke cost and the creature would hit the battlefield then leave, triggering Vela's ability?
I was thinking that cards like Heartless Summoning would work well with the creatures that you just want to die to trigger Vela's ability. Also Perilous Myr plays well with Myr Retriever and Mimic Vat. Havengul Lich might be another cute creature to have in the deck, but that's just my two cents. I really lke the deck and was thinking of getting into Commander when I saw Vela.
I took the land count down to 22 and took out a Goblin Bushwhacker (now running 3) and added Promise of Bunrei, as I like the interaction with both GG and Bushwhacker.
Also trying to figure out a landbase including Ghost Quarter, and also adding Rugged Prairie to be able to both get double red for Goblin Bushwhacker and double white for Second Sunrise.
I was working on a list with a friend, and we discovered that Flagstones of Trokair/fetchlands have disgusting synergy with Second Sunrise. T1 Lynx, go. T2 fetch, Geopede, go, opponent at 16. T3 Fetch, swing, Second Sunrise, fetch, Lynx is 8/9 and Geopede is 9/9, win.
Squadron Hawk belongs in no Modern Boros list without the Stoneblade package.
I recently have been tinkering with an idea like this, taking it further by adding Greater Gargadon as another finisher, since Second Sunrise can recur my guys and lands after sacrificing them to GG.
I ran the knights deck a few years ago at States and I wonder if the reusable removal that the engine gives would be too slow for the format...but it still looks fun.
Equipped creature may post videos of himself on youtube with unspoiled cards and cause MTGSalvation Rumor Mill to go hypo over it.
When cards are eventually spoiled, equipped creature must reveal himself to the world BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Obviously fake, and even if it was real it would be unplayable.
But seriously, can we not wait a few days without whining? This could turn out to be an amazing marketing campaign. I'd rather have the slow spoiling than have the whole set spoiled way too early.
I was always a fan of decks that could abuse cards like Endrek Sahr, Master Breeder. I think this would be better here.

4 Goblin Bushwhacker
4 Goblin Guide
4 Greater Gargadon
4 Plated Geopede
4 Steppe Lynx
4 Lightning Bolt
4 Lightning Helix
4 Path to Exile
4 Second Sunrise
4 Sacred Foundry
4 Arid Mesa
4 Flagstones of Trokair
8 Mountain
4 Plains
This is my take on it. I'm now trying to work on the sideboard as well as think of other options for the maindeck.
If that was towards me, should I post a decklist?

Ideas?
