And the cards are numbered in order of the deck, Vraska first then Angrath, and there is no cards slot for a land in the numbering
This is the information I needed. Fair enough. It seems very strange that they'd do this in this situation.
Somewhere in this thread someone made the point of Teferi needing 'some other way' to gain a new spark. I was just catching up on the Amonkhet story - and in it Samut gains a spark from Hazoret after she saves her. There's nothing in the story to suggest Samut was born with a spark - it happened after she saved Hazoret. This suggests there are other ways to become sparked other than being born with it (Karn being able to be given them by other planeswalkers seems an exception since he's not really a living creature).
You definitely misread that. The spark ignites during a moment of great emotional intensity; Samut's came from the pride of being acknowledged by her God. She was born with a dormant one, same as anybody else.
Who says Azor lost his spark, anyway? All the artbook says is that he imbued the Sun with his spark's power and that he's not immune to its effects. Doesn't mean he burnt the thing out.
I could see Jace/Lavinia working too, but most likely their respective stations would prohibit such an affair, or would certainly make the whole arrangement look very shady. People would assume the Azorius are getting favored simply because one of their officers is in bed with the Guildpact; classic political scandal.
I can only imagine that when Jace finally makes it back to Ravnica and the whole plane is literally on fire because the Guildpact went MIA for months, Lavinia's first instinct is not gonna be "yo jace dtf?".
I got one foil Swamp in my two boxes, and honestly I'm happy to flip it. The foiling really mutes the art's highlights; I think the nonfoils pop a lot more.
I feel like I read somewhere that the monarch mechanic was a variation of one that had already been planned for a future set, but I don't remember where I read that.
IIRC there was a mechanic in Ixalan called "advantage" that was basically the same thing as Monarch at was designed in parallel, and they decided to kill advantage because the mechanic worked better in multiplayer.
Forget drafting, it makes her unplayable almost everywhere. Use her as an un-commander with only one Killbot in your 99? Or 4 of your 60 in casual constructed? Sure, there are Changelings, but that's such a lame, theme-breaking solution. I was really excited to build around Mary as a commander, and now there's almost no appeal. It's a total bummer.
You mean ten killbots in your 99. There are nine changelings in Mary's colors. I can't speak for self-inflicted deckbuilding restrictions, though.

The notion that The Big Idea needs the supporting creatures more than Mary is a little disingenuous. The Big Idea creates its own supporting creatures, in bulk. Mary only has the Killbot and, technically, Dr. Julian kind of, and can do nothing to improve that situation on its own. We were told they worked hard to make this set a strong Limited environment. Making Mary almost undraftable doesn't fit well with that narrative.

From the bottom of the page: "Unhinged is a trademark of Horn Abbot Ltd. and is used with permission."
Wizards doesn't own Unhinged?
So, based on a quick google, what I assume happened is Horn Abbot owns the trademark on the word Unhinged as a game title (Trival Pursuit Unhinged came out the year before the Magic set). Since I'd imagine the market overlap between Magic and Trivial Pursuit is kinda minimal, the companies probably struck a pretty lax licensing deal instead of wasting legal fees.

Still looks like the same 3C^ to me; this artist just gave him a bit more defined pectorals than normal, so it's split down the middle.
Unless he actually has a crack in his chest now where Venser put the new heart in?

The announcement only says the deckbox will be big enough to hold the deck once it's sleeved, not that the product comes with them.

This is my hill, I'm going to die on it, and there's nothing you can do to stop me. Neener neener.
