At this point I think WotC has gotten the message pretty clear that while doing a full Return to Kamigawa is not and never will be economically viable, there's a hardcore-dedicated fanbase among the enfranchised crowd. I'd expect we continue to get thrown bones like this in supplemental sets on the regular, but don't expect more than that.
poor Choryu
Choyru was a rat-bastard and deserved everything he got coming to him, sorry not sorry.
May you clarify why the price should plummet? Reprint at Mythic and Standart legal make me think the Opposite will happen. From my perspective it will skyrock until it rotates out of standart again.
Before Valakut, Scapeshift was a 25 cent bin rare. Unless they reprint the other half, too (hint: they won't), it's not doing anything in Standard.
You aren't supposed to post card designs outside of the Custom cards creation forum. You can list abilities without adding on a mana cost and starting loyalty. I've snipped those from the quote for demonstrative purposes.
What are you, a cop?
That's what I was originally going to do, but given this forum's penchant for whining about literally everything I figured I was safer giving them the context of a cost.
So, what manner of "interesting" effects are some hoping Vivien will have, pray tell?
I feel like they could have leaned into her conservationist/"Pokemon Trainer" persona more. Give her abilities that care about having a wide variety of creatures. Something like...
Vivien Reid 2GG
Legendary Planeswalker - Vivien
+1: Up to one target creature gains trample, vigilance, or reach until the beginning of your next turn.
-X: Reveal the top X cards of your library and put any number of creatures with different names revealed this way into your hand. Put the rest on the bottom in a random order.
-6: You get an emblem with "Each creature you control has trample as long as a creature you control has trample. The same is true of vigilance, reach, hexproof, haste, deathtouch, and indestructible.".
Card coating =/= card stock. Heading is misleading.
Six to one, half dozen to the other. Cards curl because they absorb moisture; if the coating process is improved to the point the curling stops, the card-stock is irrelevant.
Goddammit, why did Pepe have to become a symbol for...something else...before this card was released? The memes would've been funny for a couple weeks, I'm sure.
In our hearts, Yargle will always pull his pants all the way down to pee.

Thus solves the great mystery of our era.

Case in point:
At least one person will get to draft this at some point along with Squee, the Immortal. I hope it's me.
