at a guess, I'd say that the promo will be a decent uncommon, or an uncommon they THINK is decent. Fingers crossed for a Topplegeist, or (wishful thinking) Duskwatch Recruiter.
The only promos I remember right now are Dreg Mangler from RTR and Scythe Leopard from BFZ. Anyone recall the others?
Common/Uncommon DFCs appear in a dedicated DFC slot, Rares/Mythics appear in place of a common. Any pack with a rare/mythic DFC will then have 2 DFCs in it, and the rate is about 1/8 packs. MaRo outlined this on the first day of previews.
You know what I noticed in this video, when she opens her pack and has Thraben Inspector she says "she is so concerned with that spaghetti" and I know Emmy is often called the "Flying Spaghetti Monster".....not that it means anything.
You must be super limber after all that stretching you're doing.
Maybe the mutations depicted on the cards aren't actually happening? Maybe we, the viewer, are slipping into madness and we think there are mutations, tentacles, and extra appendages, but in reality none of it is happening. It's all just the madness warping our minds.
Some madness inducing being is causing us and the denizens of Innistrad to go all crazy.
This twist would be absolutely amazing which is part of the reason why there's absolutely zero chance it's true.
Will go down a lot in price I'm pretty sure, this feals like a $8 card.
I got mine for $4, so I'm totally fine with that
I agree that this will likely go down,
but if it ends up making Zombies Modern-viable,
maybe not so much.
I don't get the hype, I personally don't see zombies being anywhere close to modern playable, unless Oath of the Gatewatch adds some insane cards to the mix. Otherwise this card will drop to 5 dollars purely fueled by casual zombie fans.
Yup Zombies in modern wont be viable without another very good 2 drop being added.
So... Merrow, Rite and Laboratory Maniac? seems like one of the silliest casual decks ever.
The whole combo costs 3GU(W/U)(W/U) in three cards and it's not crazy to imagine it going off on turn three, so... I think it's pretty kitchen table viable.
Actually...
T1: Land, Merrow
T2: Land, Rite, grind until Maniac is on top
T3: Draw the Maniac, play him (don't even need the third land drop since you can tap the Merrow for mana)
T4: Grind your deck out during your upkeep if all the pieces are still in play
Theros was Karametra's Acolyte. No idea about Khans.
Expansion for Betrayal. Nothing Magic related.
EDIT: Bruce Glassco is listed in the credits. Totally something Betrayal related.
Yeah, seems more like she'll be the Scully to Jace's Mulder. She even does an autopsy in this chapter!

I see what you did there.

...Seems pretty reliable, honestly.
