If we just got Cancel last set, there's no way we're getting a card that makes the over curve Counterspell obsolete. That's about as silly as:

Each time Mega Bolt was kicked, it deals 2 damage to target creature or player.
I agree, they never obsolete recent cards with new ones. Mindless Null, you are safe from WotC.
Truthfully though, WotC has no qualms about printing cards that are upgrades from in-print cards, and never has.
MTGO Drains will not be worth $60 anytime soon due to supply. Force of Will was released in ME1 which had almost no other money rares in it. This plus the timing of ME1 (a historically low point in MTGO in terms of events firing and users online) meant that there are very few Force of Wills in the system, comparitively.
Mana Drain however, is being released at a time where MTGO is doing trememndously well and in a set with at least 6 other money rares (Enemy Duals and BoB), meaning more people will be drafting more times - increasing the supply drastically. If it were Mythic I could see prices soaring, but as spoiled with a gold symbol, we are saved that travesty.
They might have print runs but they will be small and isolated. For example your situation might only happen in your area.

This is incorrect.
Print runs are standard in MTG. If ARB follows the same generalities as previous small sets, there will be 2 runs of commons with each common represented in a single run, with each common represented twice in its particular run.
Uncommons and Rares are also in runs, but these are much harder to figure out due to the smaller sample size per pack.

We did not violate a NDA, because we never signed one. From WOTC's standpoint we did violate their copyright, however, and that is all that matters.
Also, having had a chance to read over the ample materiel on the internet about the R_E case among others (which, unsurprisingly I was unaware of prior to this), I am quite happy they only suspended me. I still think it was a bit harsh considering how little I did, but I much prefer that to a court appearance. =)
When I posted the video and spoiler, I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into, and I would be willing to bet that most of the MTGS community would not either. I had taken a five year break from Magic and the R_E shenanigans happened right in the middle of that, so I didn't know to look for that kind of thing. In hindsight, I should have just posted a riddle or something from a completely fresh account, but you know what? I think it probably would have have the same result. Ignorance or not, I earned this suspension and I will honor it. If I'm lucky, maybe I can appeal it in a year or so and get it reduced. I will cling to that hope, as I really don't want to be out for three years (Especially with a PT in my back yard this year!).

Jihad spoiled Nicol Bolas' third ability, and got hit back by WoTC. I think he is assuming they got in trouble as he did, which is not the type of thing to assume, as they have been spoiling for several sets worth of cards...

I'm not assuming on Zesty, he's a friend in the area. Little Birdy I am not 100% on identity, but I have a very strong suspicion on who he is, and that person was also suspended.
And yes, the list has not been updated. I was emailed on the 17th, Zesty on the 16th. I actually didn't know who Zesty was until I got banned, I was doing some research into the sources of the tip card and some mutual friends clued me in.
Now, if a Little Birdy told you so, I'll believe you. However, I think you need to supply a little more evidence than "I heard it from the grapevine", which is what you effectively did. I won't personally dismiss it outright, but if you want people to believe you, the proof has to be in the pudding. And it's way too early for dessert, I think.
A little birdy and his pal zesty will probably not be saying much of anything. They got suspended from the DCI for 3 years early this week along with me.
I took about a 5 year break between mirrodin and lorwyn, so I completely missed the rancored elf fiasco. I wish I had seen that before showing off that tip card. Hindsight, and all.

We have taken further action elsewhere to address the source of the stolen materials. Regardless, by your own admission you knew the card was not released yet. That does not mean it's okay to spoil; it means you filmed yourself in possession of stolen material. I have done what I can be reducing the sentence from 5 years.

Yep. You read that correctly. I just got banned for three years for posting a video of a tip card. Apparently the cards I heard of - and thus the tip card - were stolen from a wotc facility. I didn't know this, I figured they had been sold to a player by a shady distributor - seeing as it was only a few weeks prior to the prerelease.
In any case, I warn you all - don't touch cards before the release, because this could happen to you.
I don't know anything other than that the guy claims it's a 4/4 for 3 in some combination of R/B mana, and that it has a "better" drawback than gouger.

I'm not sure how he convinced the guy to give it to him, as I wasn't there that night for drafting (sadface, work sucks).
Apparently the story goes like this; one of the semi-regular drafters at our local store got a box of conflux at least 2 weeks ago and opened it. I don't know how or where they got that box. They brought a stack of a lot of cards up to the shop last tuesday to show off, and my friend was able to get one of the tip cards.
I'm sure if I press the people that were there I can get some more tidbits, I know one of them was telling me about a "new ashenmoor gouger" that is a 4/4 for 3 and costs some combination of R/B mana with a different drawback.
I wont belive this untill i see proof. It was on a tips and tricks in the first post, second his friend has a NB.
Also, the ability seems very lackluster compared to the other two. Its just like they put cruel ultimatum on him, got rid of the gain and increased your oponents loss. Feels like bad design to me
