First of all, does anyone know where the name Dirty Kitty comes from? I tried some Googling but found nothing.
Please give some critiques to this budget build.
This variation of Dirty Kitty relies solely on Fecundity and Empty the Warrens. If those two cards are in hand, I can draw and play everything in my entire deck.
The downside is that play testing shows that it's hard to pull off a win without Fecundity. Should I put in a goblin sharpshooter or two (altho its not really a budget card)? Or increase the number of [card]goblin war strike[/cards]?
Would blaze be a better choice than goblin war strike?
I put in manamorphose to help with card drawing, but are there any other cards out there that can both help with card draws and synergize with this deck?
Let's say I have a Pulse Tracker on the field. My opponent plays a Plague Spitter (or something that deals one damage to my 1/1). I respond by playing Urge to Feed.
The question is, would my Pulse Tracker die? I'm not sure how the stack works. Thanks in advance!
I get that Sekki comes into play with 8 +1/+1 counters on it, but doesn't the counters get put on after it enters play? I thought Pandemonium deals damage according to a creature's power as that creature enters play, and in this case, the creature has 0 power.
I've been out of the game for a while now, and there are sooooooo many awesome new cards that can be used in a discard/control deck. The problem is, I don't know what to put in or take out of my current deck. So, any help/suggestion/comments would be greatly appreciated!
Currently, it attempts to make the opponent discard in the early game and try to slow them as much as possible with boomerang and recoil. Then, attack with Guiltfeeder and do lots of damage.
However, I feel like it doesn't do a good job making opponents discard in the early game. The combination of Hymn to tourach, duress, and ravenous rats seem inefficient. In turn 3 or 4 I would be stuck trying to decide whether to cast recoil or hypnotic specter.
Do you guys think a good discard control is even viable right now?
Say my opponent attacks with a 4/4 and a 2/2 creature without any special abilities, and i block the 4/4 with Nantuko Husk and the 2/2 with festering gobin.
can i sacrifice the goblin to give husk a +2/+2 and still deal damage to my opponent's 2/2?
in other words, is it possible to kill both of my opponent's attacking creatures?
My goblin deck usually does great, but it has some trouble against fast, aggressive decks (like elves...stupid elves, and zombies...damn those undead warchiefs).
The main problem is if my goblins get blocked...and die (or get killed by pyroclasm)...i'm pretty much done for. Some help please?
I'm considering switching sparksmith, lookout, and reckless charge with 4 skirk shamanto take care of the blocking problem.
I also considered goblin lackey, but I don't have any and they're too expensive to buy.
I'm also thinking about replacing pyromancers with something more non-suicidal. I stopped playing magic when 8th edition is released and just started again, so i don't know what new cards are out there.
By turn 3, when you can play it, your opponents hand could be like.. 3 if you're lucky. Especially if you're playing a fast deck. And if its a control deck, well, might as well scoop.
As for pointers, i dunno what to tell ya. Since you use Memory Jar as your main kill setup.. you can work around fast decks. There are other cards that can help you build your opponents hand back up. A few come to mind. Wheel and Deal and Wheel of Fate.

At 3 mana, you will A) have already eaten most of their hand, B) have lost that chance since they used most of their cards already, or C) be behind on board position so much that a slow clock like Megrim won't help.
Megrim relies on late-game discard to win, and discard is only good early. See the problem? I think that if you want to make Megrim/Memory Jar work, you need to give up on a lot of the other discard and focus on that combo. I'd suggest early beats backed up with disruption, with the combo as finisher.
hmm...well, the goal of this deck is to use the megrim / memory jar combo, using tinker and dark ritual to get them out early
I know its a slow combo, so i would want to stall my opponents by making them discard their early hands using duress and hymn to tourach and counter with mana leak
Stall, then use the combo. Doesn't this take care of the issue of speed?
Also, I really don't need to worry about if they have no cards in hand to discard, since it will build back up with memory jar anyway.
I could get the combo out on turn 5 on average...but like you said it's pretty slow. I thought about fact or fiction but it costs 4 to play. I wouldn't want to use it if speed was an issue right? comparing all the card drawing cards you all suggested, i think impulse would be the best choice.
I think the main issue now is either not drawing the combo fast enough or not stalling my opponents efficiently enough...
wow, that tinker + artifact land combo is amazing
i did some editing to cut the number of cards down to 60, added in tinker and careful study (instead of frantic search) as well as mana leak(which i'm not sure if it would be the best choice to put in here)
now the deck looks like this.
After some testing, took out manamorphose and Infernal plunge.
Added 2 Goblin war strikes, which won me some games when I wasn't able to pull off the combo with fecundity.
I can't decide between faithless looting and browbeat....

So, if I played Force of Savagery with Pandemonium in play, I would trigger Pandemonium, then Force of Savagery dies?
What would happen if I played Death's Shadow while I have 20 lives, while Pandemonium is in play?
Thanks for the clear responses!
