My gut is telling me that they'll pull another Faction VS Faction during the 3rd set, something along the lines of the guilded against the guildless, seems pretty fun

Noob question time. Would Apostle's Blessing stop a tumble magnet from tapping my creature with armour equipped?

Why would you need need that when we have the ever friendly Hex parasite

So yea... this deck pretty much gets hated out with the sideboards that everyone is packing due to Caw-Blades, and yall aren't even arming up with Spellskites of your own. IMO, this deck is still going to be an FNM denizen, but not the player it used to be. Mental Misstep owns it hard. Exarch/Twin hate owns it hard. Pretty much everyone is suddenly prepared to deal with you. Mind you, I've been hosing Armor with my Elves deck for ages.

Really, if you are playing armor still after NPH, you haven't been keeping up to date, and you are playing a deck that is currently being hated out of standard as a side effect of the big baddies.

You do realize we would also be able to sideboard right? Apostle's Blessing is pretty efficient considering the fact that it can protect either our creatures or our equipments.

From my testing it seems to work pretty well, although i'm currently tweaking the sideboard to find the slots for it. Worst comes to worst, they at best play 4 Artifact hate cards sideboard, playing more than 4 equipments usually solves that problem, and we have ways to tutor our equipment out, and they'll have to dig their library for it.

What are you guy planning on doing in the Splinter Twin matchup? Expetially against the Grixis version, they have enough distruption to slow us down.

The only way i can think off is mainboarding Tectonic Edge or putting in a playset of Sulture Priest in the sideboard

Gitaxian Probe seems like it would fit here, obviously you won't be paying the mana for it, but the ability to dig 1 card deeper on turn 1 while leaving mana open for another play seems like a decent trade off for 2 life

Is it just me, or are they printing Gideon instead of Ajani as so that they could push the Eldrazi storyline, since currently, Gideon is, you know, gathering allies for the fight against the Eldrazi and everything.
These 5 could just be the walkers that's going to be recruited by Gideon.

Glad to see I'm not the only one trying out Tuktuk the Explorer. How is it working out for you? I think he's an excellent blocker and gives this deck what it needs sometimes - just a little more time. What does Violent Outburst really do though? You can't cascade into Tuktuk and turning him into a 2/1 isn't really that big of an advantage.

Ah, my bad, by that i meant Volcanic Fallout, i always seems to get those two cards mixed.

Currently the CV i'm running is running Tuk-Tuk the Explorer as a 3-of. To compliment him, i'm running a 2 of Violent Outburst which not only burns your opponents away, but also turn him into a headache for your opponent.

Personally i am in the opinion that for the CLV, i am thinking of splitting putting in some Growth Spasm since we're not rushing for 4-mana ASAP to rush to the all important Goblin Ruinblaster. The eldrazi spawn also survives All is Dust as well as ramp us to a possible T4 All is Dust, granted it does not drop 2 lands in at once.

The ramp package i'm currently running for my CLV consists of 4 Harrows, 4 Khalni Heart Expedition, 3 Rampant Growth and 3 Growth Spasms, although granted, i need to playtest them a bit more.

I’m personally testing cutting out 1 Terramorphic Expanse, 1 Evolving Wilds, and 1 Forest and replacing it with 3 copies of Prophetic Prism. It slows us down, but it cantrips and itself is a green source, although it just filters mana instead of adding it. But currently our T2 plays consists of either cracking an Expedition Map or casting Rampant Growth, assuming we haven’t been Spreading Sea’d.

how about a super budget ,less alara +m10 deck
    how will that go?
and is bbe or that red planeswalker really needed to make this deck a success?

With ROE coming in, some people have put out Bloodbraid Elf and replaced it with Ondu Giants, since with Bloodbraid, you're not always guaranteed a ramp and can sometimes get you a burn spell which you'd rather keep in your hand instead. With Ondu's, they're solid 2/4 bodies with a built in Rampant Growth. Although i'll miss the card advantage from Bloodbraid.

Chandra Nalaar is quite a bomb in this deck, it help burn creatures off the battlefield as well as a beatstick for your opponents creatures so that they don't target you instead, buying you time for Valakut activation.

I’m personally loving Deimon’s CLV, been using it for a while and loving it. I’ve personally been toying around with my own version of CV using Tuk-Tuk the Explorer. He’s hard to remove, your opponents would need to exile him (hopefully with a Path to Exile) and he’s a goblin, so he’s a ammo for Siege Gang Commander.

The best thing is, you get a 5/5 colourless creature out of it, so an All Is Dust leaves him intact. These are the creature base that I’m currently toying with:

    3x Ondu Giant
    3x Goblin Ruinblaster
    3x Tuk-Tuk the Explorer
    3x Siege Gang Commander
    2x Avenger of Zendikar

The ramp package takes up 10 slots consisting of 4x Harrow, 3x Explore, and 3x Rampant Growth and consists of 26 lands with 9 green sources. I’ll be trying this out this FNM and playtest it to see if it’s any good IRL.

    Situation 1:
If I have a Hada Freeblade as well as a Kazandu Blademaster in play and i play a Jwari Shapeshifter and i choose to copy Kazandu Blademaster, and my opponent Path to Exile's the Kazandu Blademaster in response, does the Jwari Shapeshifter comes into play as a 0/0 creature, causing it to go to the graveyard immediately, or can i instead choose for the Jwari Shapeshifter to copy the Hada Freeblade in play?
    Situation 2:
If i instead only have a Hada Freeblade in play and i play Jwari Shapeshifter and my opponent Path to Exile's the Hada Freeblade in response, the Jwari Shapeshifter comes into play as a 0/0 ally causing it to go to the graveyard immediatly, correct?

More often than not, when i play against using a creatured Valakut against RDW, Glazing Gladeheart get's bolted as soon as they get the chance to, which is more often than not during or after the turn it comes into play. Im not sure how a creatureless version would work against it though.

I was wondering now since people are using Avenger Of Zendikar as a finisher for the creatured version, how would Hellkite Charger do? It goes off relatively faster than the Avenger, i would imagine the haste would throw a lot of people off letting you get some damage in, althouh Avenger would do relatively better against a Baneslayer Angel. I'm planning on using him instead of Avenger next FNM.

Except theres this thing called creature removal. Elspeth will 99 percent of the time be strictly better. A 1/1 creature will again, 99 percent of the time be better then 2 life. +3 +3 and flying will 99 percent of the time be better then +1 +1 to all creatures and vigil, and her final is better then ajanis. Elspeth is strictly better, except maybe in a token sort of deck that swarms.

According to that logic, wouldn't elspeth's skill be the worse choice? since he would just remove the creature you just pumped, netting you nothing except the loyalty counters?.
And most of the weenies i see running ajani rarely ops for the life. They'd instead go for the +1+1 counter and vigilance, meaning they won't have to worry bout someone swinging and targetting ajani instead.
Although i do believe elspeth's tokens are better in case of a board wipe, at least you'd still have a chance, albeit a minor one
