With 100+ pages in this thread, I didn't feel like checking to see if this was posted already.
The Philadelphia pre-release had an UNL mox pearl opened in the first 32 man flight. There was also a time vault and sinkhole opened, possibly more. The Philly event has 300+ players so you can imagine how many packs were opened, what with the side drafts and bonus flights.
Can someone enlighten me on the story about Vess then? Since im sure if I had read the book which she is featured, then I would think it would be extra cool.
In the newest novel, Agents of Artifice, it's explained that Liliana made some sort of deal with 4 demons. It's unclear what exactly she gets out of the deal or what she has to do once it's time for said demons to collect 'payment'. The end of the story revolves around her scheming with Nicol Bolas in order to relieve her of her demonic burden...but the plan goes awry.
Only format *** and Damnation are used in is legacy and maybe see's sideboard play for extended because it wrecks some decks.
Damnation isn't really used in legacy much wrath is used more because it doesn't fit into the black decks in legacy and often when black splashes for another color like white it uses *** over it for some reason. Not really sure though.
I'd love to see another art done for wrath or damnation the textless art's are decent but whenever I think wrath or damnation the white/black ball of doom pops up
Wrath sees play in standard pretty regularly.
The tutor does make this thing a must-buy. The flavor alone of Liliana making her 'pact' with a demon in the art is enough for me.

I have some other info, nothing major, but take from it what you will.
I worked at one of the big prereleases for Conflux. At said event, we had an artist doing signings. During my lunch break, which was roughly the same time as the artist's, I chatted a bit with him as we are both from the same area.
I asked him if he could give me any info on upcoming pieces for Alara Reborn. He told me that he did a few pieces for the new set, some of which he was really proud of. No big news there. What interested me was that he mentioned that he did one of the promo cards, but he didn't know if it was the prerelease or the release card.
He described the card as a "Mounted 'Bant' Knight wearing some kind of armor/cape that had all 5 colors in it". I'm guessing it's the release card as we now know the prerelease card is a dragon. He went on to say that a lot of the pieces had this theme (all colors).
I know this isn't groundbreaking news, but thought it was interesting enough for people to hear.
I can say with 100% certainty that this product was completely sealed and new when I got it. I was kind of bummed at first when I realized that I would have doubles of 5 dragons and 0 of 5 others. Can anyone name the 5 dragons that are in the Thunder pack? It was probably just a packing error. Still scouting around to see if there are any other instances of this...

I just picked up my copy today. I reserved one at the local shop when it was announced a while back. I brought it home and took it out of the white outer box. I lifted the front flap to get a look and was a bit confused. Flanking the Hellkite Overload in the middle were TWO Thunder Dragons. Now, I can vouch for the owner of the store as he's a good friend and an extremely reputable dealer. This thing was brand spanking new.
I was tempted to open the two Thunder Dragon packs to see if all the cards were the same, but I thought I'd see if anyone had any info on here first.

Dave Palumbo was indeed the artist at the pre-release and as it turns out, Knight of New Alara was done by him and is pretty much as he described it.

I know that he wasn't referring to Paragon though for 2 reasons:
1) This was the Conflux pre release so Paragon was already out.
2) Paragon was done by a different artist.
