I used red-eye removal (microsoft office picture manager) on the fiery part of the staff/gun, it looks like a tangle of brown/wood at that area at 800% magnification. That, to me, isn't anything like a gun.
I don't really feel like posting up an image, but it would only take 1 minute to check yourselves if you want to.
There was a thread for this sorta thing ages ago, it was PlanesRazer... You should search it up.
The idea was to actually get Razer into play on turn 3, then beat face.
unlikely but super cool hand:
T1 FoD
T2 Bloom Tender
T3 Razer
...and hope they aren't packing Cancel :-/.
If so, theres other ways to win, mostly through Planeswalkers backing up huge guys.
Specifically regarding your deck, it definitely needs Spellbreaker Behemoths in SB if not MD against control. Even if there's no control players, add them just because they're huge and efficient.
And Finks is good vs Burn decks. My friend groans every time he sees that ouphe hit the board
Also, -4 Knotvine Mystic, +4 BoP if you can afford those! And really, Tender does the same job if you can get a Thoctar to stick on T3, which you should unless it's vs control. You really don't need the mana overload. This idea is only interesting if you can somehow get Razer online most games.
And maybe drop the moo-moo plow-cow. It requires a big investment in green mana to be half-decent, which isn't all that awesome esp. since it can't have shroud. The other creatures are somewhat good simply because they're tri-colour and can be played consistently without further investments.
Of course it kills them, but by the time you play Fallout, thats when the tokens guy is gonna have a load of 1/1s (or even 2/2s and 3/3s!) on the board, which coincides with you having 4-6 lands, which is quite enough for anything in your repertoire.
At that point, Realm Razer looks lame, and the tenders become that much less important. All your real fatties on the board will survive one red sweeper quite easily, and thats what really matters!
That is pretty much my take on PlanesRazer, without Bloom Tender and FoDs. It's a shame the archetype never really took off...
Anyway, no Garruk Wildspeakers? What? You really should have at least two in. If you really wanted to punish slower decks you'd make Razer a possibility on turn 4, and that's just one application it has.
Oh, and every other deck's creatures have Indestructible AND Troll-/Shroud, right? That's one hell of a terrible justification for telling the OP to have Spellbreakers removed. Those are always gonna be efficient beaters even if Island isn't factored into the match. Miststalker can just be the Wrath-Rod at worst, while Donnie drops more creatures after the fact.
Forget the Spearbreakers, just make sure you don't overextend and hold onto your beaters. If they Wrath, shrug it off and beat more. If they spot-remove anything, replace it if you think it's necessary. Last time I checked, *** and removal didn't really break the game, you just have to know how to play around them!
Of course, if this is a Casual deck, then disregard the Spearbreaker rant, that could be a fun addition I suppose. And Shield of the Oversoul is also nuts with Uril =]
Another idea:
New Dual Pain Land
(R)
Land - Island Mountain
New Dual Pain Land comes into play tapped unless you pay 1 life (: Add or to your mana pool.) : Add ,, or to your mana pool. You lose 2 life).
I don't think that would be too likely, as these new ones are going to be mythics. It could be that two separate prices will show up, one for the LRW PWs and one for the M10 reprints.
Obviously the M10 ones will be far more expensive due to their new mythic status, making the LRW ones far less taxing for the wallet. Thus you should snap 'em up while you can before everyone finds out about the disparity.
I'm hoping to get some Garruks before M10 comes out...
I think you discount the other ways religion influenced medieval Europe, for example—I mean ways other than enforcing political control. As Nietzsche himself said, the idea of God was a great promoter for Western culture. In an age when scientific knowledge was rudimentary at best, religious conviction drove the natural philosophers to "prove" God's creation... only to disprove common Church doctrine. Not to mention the wealth of music and art that came from religious teachings.
And without religion as such a major part of society, something else would have replaced it. Musicians and artists would be inspired by something completely different. They could have been painting their vivid fantastical ideas of outer space and composing music about how awesome stars are, just as one example. If people aren't inspired by Jesus's or Mohammed's miracle's, its going to be something else.
Funny card of the Event: Suicidal Charge... Both times I used it I actually did a 3 for 1 on my turn, which was pretty cool. But I swapped it out or less costly spells. Besides, not everyone was playing weenies.
Pulled during construction: Foil Goblin Razerunners, Godsire, Caldera Hellion, moo moo plow cow and Rakka Mar. Used all but the first two...
I saw the removal and rares together and I just knew I had to go RGb. Rakka Mar helped turn the tide a few times, Quenchable Fire sped up the inevitable :D, and Fiery Fall took out the fatties they'd drop. Then I just threw some midrange creatures together and voila!
It's rather funny seeing people's faces when they're facing down Rakka Mar's 3/1's with the exalted bonus. R for 5/3 hasty creatures ftw!
Round 1: Lost badly because my manabase was initially messed up. All I got were Swamps and Mountains... 0-1
Round 2: Did well against this guy. He played some Grixis with life loss and unearth. Kederekt Parasite and Onyx Goblet nearly offed me one time, but I turned the tides with huge creatures. However, he TOPDECKED a banefire and burnt me for 2!! However in the end I still won because he had little to no removal and small creatures. 1-1
Round 3: I very likely would have lost, but he got crap land draws, rarely saw his plains. He had to rely on his Mana Cylix quite a bit those games to bring out fliers. Awesome moment in Game 2: Blightning for 3 to the face and he discarded an Ultimatum and something else extremely powerful! I really wish that I now could recall that moment clearly but... 2-1
Round 4: My opponent had a RGW-ish deck with Knight of the Reliquary which became 6/6, and Thornling in all the games. A 7/1 Indestructible Trampling Thornling equipped with Quietus Spike smashed me. 2-2
Overall I thought I did very well, considering my best score was 1-3.
Pulled after construction:
Maelstrom Archangel (didn't trade for Mirror-Sigil Sergeant with my friend, partly because I like angels too)
Soul's Majesty
Child of Alara
Knight of the Reliquary
Path to Exile + Voracious Dragon (these from the 'Headhunting' booster)
I don't really feel like posting up an image, but it would only take 1 minute to check yourselves if you want to.

I'm hoping that some of it helped??
