That doesn't work. If any of the creatures have the same name, they all go back in your library.
actually if this wording is correct ( If you searched for three cards with different names, choose one at random at put it into your hand.)
then naya says search for 2 thragtusks and a restoration angel and say go. all three go to you hand. the second part on happens if they all have different names.
Hi. Nice list! I have been running something similar with some success.. I have not been able to find a balance between the aggro and control matchups. the toughest matchup for me is mono R or rakdos aggro... Even with healer MD they can give me trouble...very draw dependent. I tested jace for some time but was not too happy.. finally settling with tamiyo + vraska as the PW's (2+1 split).
How is ur monoR matchup like? Why are you not running nephalia drownyard..I believe it is the main reason to splash black.
my match up is good the life gain keeps me up. jace is merly a slow road block in the aggro match up. i tried drown yard but didn't need it. it never really showed up as a 1 of.
with all the life gain bant should have no problem with zombie's. it's the decks that have moved from the aggro to control match up's. thats why zombie's are doing good again. now the life gain and terminus will come back to take care of both naya and zombie's.
this list runs off the back of bant control. so far i've won the past 3 fnm's with it slightly changing each week. i would like any opinions or changes before i take it to a magor tournament please. thanks
I went 1-3 (2-7 overall) with this deck at Game Day.
I don't think the R is working, or I need to find a way to stop Thragtusk and other aggro decks.
I lost against UWr Control the first round due to Thundermaw Hellkite. The deck was similar to mine except the Hellkite.
Second round was vs UWg Thragtusk. Playing Angel of Serenity when I had 3 angel tokens on the field was brutal. A Tamiyo Emblem was bonkers too.
Third round was vs GW aggro where Rancor ran rampant.
The fourth round was vs Grixis Control and it could have went either way.
I thought about maybe going UW for more counters amd possibly even getting rid of Snapcasters for more card slots.
Thoughts?
In my build i run 4 pillar 3 mizzium morters main. spear looks interesting. and i'm thinking of adding 1 chandra in my build after watching you play it. if you want i can end you my list for reference. i won the past 2 fnm's with it and so far in match's 24-2. it's a solid build i think. please let me know.
No I didn't put my 4th Jace in here, nor am I running 3 Verdicts, however I could make those changes. Lingering Souls helps protect Jace (and other walkers), and with Reaver + Vault in play if you have other creatures you can draw 4+ cards a turn.
Not 100% sure on the board though, although I think 4 Geist is correct. Thoughts?
nice list i only would change the feeling of dread for sever the blood line. maybe even up the entreat count to 3 if you have the room. how doesit fair against zombie?
still comtemplating the niv mizzit but the rest of the deck runs great. so far i have been pleased against zombies/ g/w and control (u/w, grixis) try it out and please leave comments or suggestions.
A 15/15 trample that creates 3 5/5 when it dies isn't enough to win the game anymore? Sheesh. He's hard to cast, no doubt, but once you get him out, you should win the game?
This card will be very good in green decks that run Arbor Elf and Avacyn's Pilgrim.
He's a 5/5 with a relevant ability when in the graveyard. Don't underestimate the potential of curving into him, expecially when preceded by a Loxodon Smitter.
the ideal is to make it where you don't just have one way to win but have many other way to win and put the pressure on the Opp.
Using perilous myr and trading post 3 ability to sac a creature and put a artifact back to you hand is really good. block with perilous myr then sac it hit your opp or hit a creature your not blocking and kill it.
spellskite is in to make every spell to go to it. like O-Ring and revoke existence.
i found while testing my deck hellion crucible was really good after i cleared the board of any pesky monster's other then my stuffy doll with blasphemous act.
also a batter skull on a stuffy doll is really really scary to deal with. because if you block stuffy doll you lose life and you lose a creature. while i gain life. and if someone doe's kill stuffy doll or batter skull you can just put it back to your hand from trading post.
that's all i can think of why i put these cards all in the deck.
now thats what i'm talking about. very good list you should try it at fnm. whats your sideboard?
i haven't had any problems with caverns either. i do run 2 quaters in my main but there for nexus kesseg and morland. my removal usually takes care of any threat they play past counter range. and by turn 6 if thewy havent won then its usually game win me.
went 4-0-1 last fnm played against solar flare, delver, bwr reaminator and gw humans, drew final round against rg aggro. we played it out but it wasn't close 4/4 angels are bigger than most of his deck. and bonfire still remains supreme. delver has a hard time with it. the most they can do is flash inb angel orvapor snag there own creatures.
ive added index for this week and changed my deck around just a tad to fit it in. i figure 4 ponder and 4 index is a nice way to set up my miricales.
i've moved the counters to the sb for now but may put them back in inplace of the talismans and 1 divine deflectionn. the talismans have been win more for me with life gain.
wow does nobody see the cantrip with miracle? were so used to ponder or even preordain when it was legal. yes index by itself is a bad card but to minipulate you next 5 turns to terminus and next turn entrant the angels is purty sick. especially when it could have been set up the other way before you changed it. now thats probly the only decl its good in. so not teir one.

the demon is turm 3 with heartless summining out.
ok flare seems to have a better match up against the field or even a esper midrange version
play flare but it depends on whats playing at that store. we have a varity of decks at mine.
now thats what i'm talking about. very good list you should try it at fnm. whats your sideboard?
