This is so totally utterly confusing about the gods. I am thinking that these gods must have some really great other stuff to go with the creature part, because if all you can do to make these creatures is use a lot of hybrid cards then this not playable much.
Went 3-0 last night beating a red aggro deck with ashiok taking the lead. He had me down to 1 life and needing a burn spell to finish me off i milled his burn until i beat face with his creatures and my demons and specters. The first person i played was playing a bogbrew witch deck and i beat him both times taking a blood baron in both wins. I beat a simic deck in the second person i played. All in a good night, although for fun i played another persons prophet of kruphrix deck and lost by slim margins not being able to stablize his board is not good.
I lost one match on weds to a U/R guttersnipe deck, but ended up splitting with same guy in the final round. This particular day i finally beat a black devotion deck 2-1. In one game he got mana flooded that one game i won and in the other game i won i had all the answers for his creatures. Ashiok helped too. That day i went 3-1. On friday i went 3-1 too. The only deck i lost to was an angel deck and i forgot to side in the lifebane zombies. Oh well. I beat another black devotionish deck. I had all the answers for it. I did although have to give this person the 2-1 victory because i could not finish. I played one match with this person.
This deck is very very good. I added 2 more specters MB and two more heros downfalls for the sb. And these changes seem to have helped out the deck.
Ok if there is a black DOJ my dimir control deck just jizzed a big one because that deck needs a nice sweeper and that will fit the bill. Now give me Serum Visions and condescend and we have a deal!!
I went 3-1 in the FNM before dropping to go to work. I beat a green devotion deck 2-0 using ashiok to win me games and demons to finish him off. The next person i played was a WW deck. I easily beat it. He scooped second game due to being mana screwed. The next guy was playing an orzhov deck. Game one he collects my sins. I have several ways of dealing with his creatures but he takes the one i cant use which is a doom blade not a very smart move on his part. The one deck I lost to was a Naya Superfriends deck that main decked Ruric Thar. First game i had all the answers but did not draw into my ashiok or my demon or any of my finishing creatures. He wins easily, I ran out of gas. The second game i have a lifebane zombie and a demon. but not a whole lot of answers. I manage to get two demons out but he has enough stuff to keep my demons tapped down. I lost to him 2-0. Never saw an ashiok or an aetherling. How does one beat such a deck?
I went 2-2 at the FNM. I beat the mazes end deck 2-1. The first game was pretty lopsided. I sat the whole entire game with a hand full of kill spells and he only runs one creature in the main. The game i sided in all my non creature removal. Duress, Negate a 4th Ashiok. Ashiok helped me win both games The 2nd game i took one of his gates he needed to win with and I Pithing needled his mazes end. The third game was won via a lifebane zombie and a specter. I beat a rakdos deck just killing everything and using ashiok to win. The demons helped too. The two i lost to were a boros aggro deck. I could not draw kill spells to deal with his board state. And the other one i lost to was a selesnya hexproof kinda deck. I could not get around witchstalkers. I also made a rookie mistake by thoughtseizing my opponents smiter. Not smart. I am going to play this deck and post more results as i get them
I doubt you will see a [/c]Viscera Seer[/c] in this block. I dont think vampires are on Theros. But i think we could see a nice variant of that card and i think that would be very nifty!
Played this deck again Weds. Went 2-2 and made top four lost to two black devotion decks. Still have not found 4 Dark Betrayals. The other two decks i beat one was a bogbrew witch combo deck and the other was a white angel lifegain kinda deck. I beat both decks. The black devotion decks just beat me down. In one game i ran out of ways to deal with all the creatures like desocration demons and pack rats.
What do you think about a 4th Ashiok? And how do you guys beat black devotion decks? They always give me fits.
They aint gonna reprint Bob in Theros! Ya'll must be crazy if you think your getting Bob for Christmas. That card would never ever ever see the light of day again. We might get a sexy variant of Bob that deals with devotion when it comes into play.

Ashiok is male per the Theros players guide. I will try to get some dark betrayals for my sideboard. There are in my meta at least two Mono B and one Mono U. Most of the decks are White Weenie or some form of Junk or Selesnya. Also how would one beat a lone Mazes End deck? There is one guy in my playgroup that has one and it looks kinda scary. I have not played him yet but it still may not be a good matchup.
I played a dimir control deck and went 3-1 this past Weds night and 2-1 this past Friday night. I might have had more wins but i had to leave after the third round for work. I lost Weds night to a monoblack devotion deck. What the hell can i do when the guy has a 15 point Gray Merchant of Asphodel coming at me? Friday nights loss was to another control deck. He milled the heck out of me wih Jace and when i did get my threats on the field they were gone in 60 secods. Here is my list.

Yes there are a lot of deck that use this card and will get better with G/W Scry land. My naya hexproof deck uses it. This card is at its lowest point I would grab them if you need them.
Im not selling my Snapcaster Mages and I would advise anyone who is thinking to sell them to not do it. Its an obscure rare that unless we go to a flashback block that probably wont get reprinted in standard. The only way i see this guy seeing a reprint is a judges foil or a GP Promo or MM2
Its sad how we have to wait for BNG spoilers when the set is done. I mean what could wizards be doing with it? We could at least get a few scraps of something. Hopefully for Christmas we will.
