Not talented nope not talented at all. These intro packs are not worthy of my money and i really was looking forward to getting two BNG rares instead of a theros rare but hey what can you do? The last intro pack i bought was from zendikar and it was the vampire one!
If I owned a store id sell my Brimaz's for 10$ or less and I would be happy about it too and I would sell a ton. Its ridiculous that he starts out at 25$. I like king kitty but he is not worth 25$ to me. The only kind of decks that really want him are W/G decks that run voice and WW decks want this guy. He should not be 25$.
His deck uses vraska, the two jaces, ashiok and a whole lot of counter magic with abrupt decays. He also used Polokranos and Kalonian Hydras and he used a sylvan caryatid for ramp. Never really used either hydra but milled the heck out of me!!
Could they make a functional reprint of serum visions? I just think that these cards need a reprint in some form. They fit the scry theme and seem to be good for this set. Which card is blue gonna play condescend or syncopate?? I for one would rather play condescend not syncopate.
Here we go again. Someone writes a post saying that this set is the worst in magic history. There are no constructed cards in this set sans a few mythics and maybe a few uncommons. It never fails. I for one like this set and think there are few unknown gems in the set. I think that Hero of Iroas will enable a bunch of heroic decks and am glad he wont break the bank. Yes there are a ton of mythics that could break the bank. Brimaaz and Kiora im looking at you two. No the worst sets in magic history have come and gone. Kamigawa block and Coldsnap im looking at you.
Ok this set has a few things i really like. Not too many cards in this set that really get my juices flowing. I am quite pissed that wizards left off three cards in either Theros or BNG. Where the hell is Preordain and or Serum Visions? Either card would do and Serum Visions was not printed in modern masters and is in need of reprint. Preordain could not be printed in MM because its banned. The other card i was looking for was Condescend that card is the perfect counterspell for this set as it has scry and fits the bill nicely. Heres to hoping that JOU has two of these cards. I dont think they will print both of the first two. Either of the first two will do. Are any of these cards too powerful for standard? Would preordain or serum visions break blue?
Because the only decks that will want the satyr is burn and or guttersnipe decks. You have to run an ass load of burn to make it work. Maybe this guy will shine in legacy and modern where chain lightning and Lightning Bolt see play. Hes too fragile for much!
I went 2-2 last night. Losing to the same deck twice. Went 2-1 to get to the top 4 and lost twice to a bug superfriends deck. Milled to death with jace, can't play a threat that gets countered. Jus all around not so good. He uses Vraska, two jaces and an ashiok to ride to victory. I did beat a guttersnipe deck that had me on the ropes early but ashiok and demons allowed me get to the win. The other deck was an Azorious detain deck that was piloted by a person with lack of sleep. Needless to say she got beat., not a bad deck just lack of focus on her part. I now have four temples of deceit in my deck so that should help me out some. I think BNG will help my deck some with Whelming Wave and a few others.
Phenax will win you games. You got a big ass Wight of Precent Six Phenax will mill a lot of cards. Or a big fat monster of a Consuming Aberration Then its game over.
I gotta get a playset of the hate bear for my WW sideboard. Im gonna read them bones, naw you aint!! Sphinx's Rev for 5, sure but you aint drawing any cards. Very great!!!
And does Gild have a place in this deck?
