The whole Color Self Hate cycle. Years ago, after Shards of Alara, I designed a whole set with the theme of being colors that only knew about themselves. The first set in the block was filled with cards good at opposing themselves. I have a white only o-ring for 1W, a reprint of Gainsay, and a Dark Betrayal exactly (though its pretty common). I had a 4/4 for 1GGG with Flash and "When it comes into play, you may have it fight target green creature" as the ultimate hunter. I didn't design anything like Peak Eruption. Assuming that in a vacuum red wants to burn and attack fast, the direct hate card was Wild Richochet.
Maybe borderline too strong. I'd be more comfortable with the card if it had some limitations on it:
Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land. If it's a basic land put it onto the battlefield tapped, otherwise put it into your hand.
Put all other cards revealed this way on the bottom of your library in a random order.
That's probably how I'd do it.
This is a good solution to the problems posed by the card. Another option might be:
Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card. Put that land onto the battlefield, then if isn't a forest, sacrifice a land. Put all other revealed cards on the bottom in a random order.
And you could switch forest to basic, if you want it to be better.
Arcane Refractant1RUG
Creature-Ooze Shapeshifter (r)
Whenever you cast a sorcery spell, Arcane Refractant becomes a 5/2 with trample until end of turn.
Whenever you cast an instant spell Arcane Refractant becomes a 0/8 with hexproof until end of turn.
Whenever you cast a creature spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Arcane Refractant. It acts as both prism and image.
3/3
This card is from a theoretical set where wedges already exist. But any set could support its mechanics.
Iiw: oozes that loot.
If oozes don't work for your understanding of ahapeshifter imagine shape shifter wizard and re-art as a human working with changing form and spell books.
Hellkite's ShadowRR
Sorcery (UC)

Creature-Human Scout (UC)
Winter Wanderer gets +2/+2 if an opponent controls a snow permanent.
Winter Wanderer has first strike if you control a snow permanent. "It's just a snow storm..." -Jehaz, Winter Wanderer, last words

I'm just gonna throw out that Forgive doesn't prevent the damage, so the life-gain equal to power among attacking creatures was mainly a flavorful way of fogging. The card is actually terrible, it's a 5 mana, two color, Keep Watch + Holy Day with a one mana, "split card" tax.. Forget is white because morningtide, rest in peace, and purify the grave are white, white is one of the original homes of graveyard exiling.

IIW: Cascade or Looters. (Cascade is in a block after RTR, so those are the only interactions you have to worry about)
5 mana plus the flicker and another card, just to do a tooth and nail impression? Seems fair to me.
This is a good solution to the problems posed by the card. Another option might be:
Reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a land card. Put that land onto the battlefield, then if isn't a forest, sacrifice a land. Put all other revealed cards on the bottom in a random order.

Speculation is a totally different phenomenon from the whole problem with opening sealed product.
