I have been tinkering with phasing a bit but obviously phasing has SO MANY issues. I have been looking for a way to have a "fixed phasing" but I wonder if even fixed phasing is too complex. Anyway...

    Untethered Aven 3UU
    Creature - Aven Wizard (R)
Untetherd (At the beginning of your upkeep, if this card is on the battlefield, exile it. If it is exiled, put it onto the battlefield under it’s owners control. It has haste.)
    Flying
When Untethered Aven enters the battlefield, return target creature to its owner's hand.
    2/2

    Untethered Goblin 3R
    Creature - Goblin Shaman (U)
Untetherd (At the beginning of your upkeep, if this card is on the battlefield, exile it. If it is exiled, put it onto the battlefield under it’s owners control. It has haste.)
When Untethered Goblin enters the battlefield, it deals 1 damage to target creature or player
    2/2

    Untethered Nacatl G
    Creature - Cat Warrior (C)
Untetherd (At the beginning of your upkeep, if this card is on the battlefield, exile it. If it is exiled, put it onto the battlefield under it’s owners control. It has haste.)
    3/3

    A) Is this mechanic too complex?
    B) Can it be more simply worded?
    C) Does it even work the way it is currently worded?
    D) This has obvious problems with mechanic like Delve when you could in theory Delve a handful of these and create a pseudo Living Death.
    E) Is Phasing actually too complex?

1U: Evolve. (Exile this card, then search your library for a creature card that evolves from this card and put it onto the battlefield. Then shuffle your library. Evolve only as a sorcery.)

I am fully aware that Evolve is a keyword but I don't care.

Spike dislikes the blatant card disadvantage, especially on a poor body. That said, the ability to potentially filter through your deck quickly and fill up your grave repeatedly is something he would be interested in.
Scry is certainly a spike mechanic but I don't know if this is a common. I guess in the right environment it would be fine.
A potentially efficient flier is something spike likes but this guy isn't making Spike foam at the mouth. I am also not sure how much I like the ability as a keyword. It seems like at some point all of your cards just cost less and there is no real way to make that fluctuate. At least with Affinity your opponent can interact with your board to make your future cards cost more.
Solid efficient removal. I would like it as a 2/2 but that's more developmental. Great job!

    Prophetic Goblin R
    Creature - Goblin (C)
When Prophetic Goblin enters the battlefield, exile the top card of your library. You may play that card this turn.
It's not that goblins can't see the future, it's that their attention span just isn't very long.

    Last minute crits!

RaikouRider - If this card was printed in Inn is would have some sweet flavor. As is, the card is pretty fair. A solid design.

Sagharri - This is not really a common but it would be a pretty bad uncommon.

SelesnyaNewLife - pseudo-firebreathing and flying on a high costed aura seems common enough. Flavor is good, if not uninspiring.

doomfish - This card has a ton of rules issues with looking at multiple cards but not being able to organize them. Maybe at a higher rarity this would be fine but it is certainly not common.

    2) Raikou
    3) Doomfish.
