Just so you know, Gideon is still CMC 5 even as a creature.Posted in: Proven (Modern)

The problem with Twin, is that my making your deck more combo-esque, you lose your ability to have an effective midrange plan, which is the true reason Pod of all flavors is even viable.Posted in: Proven (Modern)
As for the new True Believer, there is a reason we don't play True Believer. Against Storm, they will simply use their card selection to assemble their kill + a Bolt or something, and then kill you. The only reason we play Canonist is because not only does she prevent the Congo, but also stifles our opponents ability to dig for an answer.

This is where I am starting. It should play like a pseudo-Affinity deck with lightning fast nut draws and tons on internal synergy.

Who gives a rats ass about Commander?
Commander this, Commander that. Some people don't care and will not care. Like me.
This card is Standard unplayable, it needs mana to do anything. And tons of standard players had waited for her and wished for her to be good.
So maybe it's you who should stop going on about Commander and start complaining

This card is Limited annoying. It's a 5/5 indestructible and it's ability doesn't match the story Wizards has been building up.
So maybe you could stop going on about money formats, and enjoy the damn game?
Who gives a Pack Rat's ass about anything that isn't Ante Magic.
"I don't want to gamble my cards" this, "Don't make me bet them that" Some people don't want to play the game by the old rules.
This card doesn't exist in my world of Magic. Enchantment creature? What the hell is this Yugioh?
So maybe you should stop going on about "No mana burn" and "New World Order" and enjoy the game the way Jesus meant it to be played?
But seriously, she is pretty terrible, especially with Scooze still in the format.

I tested a Twin Pod deck before Resto was printed and Twin was a fine card, but that deck also played 4 Exarch. If you are going to play Twin you have to up your Exarch count to at least 3, if not the full 4.Posted in: Proven (Modern)

Is the stone Loki's staff an infinity stone? It seems to be a separate entity than the tesseract.Posted in: Movies

You never need a card to supplement Pod though. Pod is already our best card, you are weakening the deck if you are playing cards that only help make Pod better.Posted in: Proven (Modern)
He is the classic Browbeat, sure both sides benefit you, but rarely will you get the side that you want benefit from at the time. There will be a few scenarios, as variance demands, where he will be the stone nuts, but the number of times he is simply overkill or a do-nothing will vastly out number the times he is relevant.
The other problem is you can't Pod OUT of him. Imagine a scenario where you have him and no other creatures but you have a Pod. Instead of a Kitchen Finks that might have survived the Supreme Verdict you now have a do-nothing enchantment. And yea, maybe your opponent took 12 damage wrathing you, but now they are in a superior board state despite you having a Birthing Pod.
The last problem as this card does nothing against the biggest tool to beat Pod, Anger of the Gods, since the creatures don't actually die, they are exiled.

I don't think that card is particularly good. When would you ever want that card in play?Posted in: Proven (Modern)
