You can't redirect stampede as it doesn't have a target. A spell needs a single target for imp's to work. It also can't have multiple targets like searing blaze. Just ONE target. I believe aspect uses the opponent's devotion, because he is still the caster/controller of the spell - you are just choosing the target.

no. the cards effect isn`t applied until after the spell resolves, at which time there is no colorless spell being played.

My 3/2 critter is blocked by a 1/4 wall (my opponent's only creature). I declare end step. Damage is removed in cleanup and I discard to 7 (had 8 in hand). My opponent then cracks a fetchland, and casts a spell that makes his wall a 1/3. Does his wall die? Can effects be done AFTER damage wears off, or will damage last until the turn passes (or virtually as there would be no point between damage clean up and passing the turn for either player to have priority?)?

    Hey all,

After years of drafting and editing, I have FINALLY finished my book. I'd love for all of you to help support my book and spread the word. The book will soon be for sale in all formats through self-publication and, with luck pending, be picked up by a publishing house and mass marketed.

    Please visit my author's page.

    http://www.facebook.com/pages/E-D-Miller/165450216889450

Like my page or share links with your friends. Promoting this book is my main focus at this time and making it appealing to agents/publishers. Please tell people to like my FB page! Maps, images, and a spoiler to chapter 1 are on my page as well Smile

There has been a lot of headway as far as finalizing the book. It now has a professionally designed cover and buzz about the book is spreading. Now for the hard part - funding self-publication. I have developed a project on kickstarter to help get the ball rolling and hope that some of you might be interested in helping. At the very least, tell everyone you can so someone might want to help out. My goal is to turn proceeds from this funding project into payments for startup costs (ISBN, copyright registry, etc.) and most importantly FREE books to give to libraries and schools. This helps get the book on the shelves and gets people to read and spread word about my novel. At the very least it gives school-age kids a great fantasy book to read! I thank you in advance for your support, whether it be through funding or attracting traffic to help me out. MTG Salvation has always been a great community of people, beyond the game we all love.

Thanks in advance for all of your support!

    Sincerely,
    E. D. Miller - author of The Days of Magic

You guys all do realize that this card doesn't do ANYTHING versus counters, right? From looking at the threads, it appears most of you are off on this card's uses. For starters, the card can be paid with G if an ability or spell an opponent controls destroys a "permanent" you control. Spells aren't permanents until they enter the battlefield. If any spell is countered, it never becomes a permanent.

This card IS good versus wastelands in vintage, and perhaps gorilla shamans...that's about it.

Just a reminder to everyone: the DCI banned/restricted changes go into effect 6/20 - the tournament is on 6/21....so for those bad with dates, that means the new changes will be in full effect for this tourney. First tourney post-restrictions! Woohoo! Look in the event announcement forum to see more details.
