I'm really unfond of how this operates without requiring mana and without being a spell. This basically makes Dredge-type decks unbeatable, as they mill into free uncounterable countermagic.
Which would make it perfect for cube, never said it would be balanced for constructed formats
Thanks for reading this week! Much of the content for this article was made possible by the discussions on this board! I also deviate from the traditional pick-a-pack this week and present a more complex draft scenario from my IRL draft this week.
I wrote an article today that lists the actual percentages of getting archetype cards in the jump from 360 - 450 here. It might be useful for you! Overall though I agree with the above posters - you have to find a nice balance of supporting your archetypes and not diluting them too much, but also it's fine to not see them pop up every single draft.
While I prepare my M14 cube review, I thought it would be fun this week to talk about cutting in general, the impact of letting your cube grow, and my personal M14 cuts.
One glaring issue I would be remiss to ignore is that Garruk Wildspeaker is in the "We suck!" graphic when he is a one-turn delay Overrun and one of the best possible Green aggro cards.
Weird. Garruk has been awful in my agro decks, but when I'm trying agro I rarely dip into green. He's definitely solid in mid-range decks, and of course the overrun is a boss w/ token generators like hermit.
This week I talk about building and drafting aggro in Cube (not to be confused with beatdown, midrange, etc.). Would love to hear some of you veteran Cubers weigh in on my thoughts!
I don't comment on the articles themselves to avoid influencing peoples opinions, but yeah those seem right on power level. I honestly could also justify Sneak Attack (all 3 Eldrazi in my cube, need to pick up a Show & Tell / Eureka still).

Deathwitch 1UB
Pay 2 life, Exile Deathwitch: Counter target spell. Play this ability only if Deathwitch is in your graveyard.
2/2
Maelstrom Wanderer is also probably my favorite cube fatty that I don't see in many lists, it leads to some seriously memorable cube moments.

How is the blue tempo thing working out?
