Wasn't that one main card selling site buying type 1 singles at above average awhile back? If.... IF (big "if").... this is true could this be the source for mass distribution of secondary market cards in booster packs? Of course WOTC has oodles of cards laying around, but I'm sure to pull a 1/10,000 pack still would take a lot of resource$.
Quest cards are quite the neat little thing there. I keep expecting a quest that gives an extra turn. Not very competitive, but this one makes me think combo.
The more I examine this card, the better it seems. It'll almost always connect for at least 4 off the play, and if it's a land, they discard at their eot. Seeing what your opponent draws and playing around it seems like an advantage to me, let em have the land.
This mythic has the potential to get pri$ey. Free counterspell??? When has this ever been bad? Punish Ignorance the card to pick up for rotation? Nah, this is the cryptic replacement for standard post roto. Cascade, Chandra's ultimate, hardcasting it to exile something... read's ok in my book.
I've got mixed feelings about this too. Everyone has always said *** w/o the "regenerate" line, so I think it's the right card to be printed, although Hallowed Burial still fit the replacement nicely. Also, this may mean we won't see *** for awhile, "Day of Judgement" being a safer name and at the same CMC, I don't think they'd need a reason to print *** again if this get's used. Is there a deck that uses *** in extended in case I want to rekindle times past?
This is very similar to original M:tG rules, where the fanatic trick couldn't be pulled and lifelink saved you. The lifelink thing may spawn decks that take advantage of that, and makes the ability leaps and bounds better.
Sidenote since we're doing new lingo, why is mana added to the mana pool? Instead, shouldn't mana be gathered? (ie-T:Gather R
,Each player gathers GG during thier main phase)
Exalted does not work that great w/ Bitterblossom. Never been a big fan of watching my 2/2 swing while the other 5 1/1's are watchin' the show. I'd almost go the route of Runed Halo, Declaration of Naught, MM,Sculler, Thoughtseize. Maybe splash in a bit o' Sen Triplets, countermagic, Charm, and of course drifter & archmage shenanigans.
At first I didn't like it, then I got to thinking about how this is the way it's supposed to feel. I can't remember too much from that far back, but it's reminiscent of the early set's like the dark, homelands, and ice age... At the birth of mainstream internet.
I'll take it with a grain of salt, and try to enjoy it. While I didn't play, I checked out new cards/mechanics, just to see. We haven't had it the way WOTC wants it to be for quite some time. There'll be a day when boxes are finally recieved en mass, and the spoiler will fill up quick. Til then, enjoy!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't have a card that says "Deal x damage to target planeswalker." due to the fact that damage has to be done to the player and then chosen to be redirected. (i.e.-you can call a judge for an illegal target if someone say's "Banefire for 5 targeting your planeswalker")
It would have to say something like "Deal X damage to target player, if a player would lose life this way, prevent that damage."
Burn = 1
Exploration = 0
Nissa = 2
