Lynx is one of the best one drop beaters ever printed.
In extended Wild Nacatl consistently attacks for 3 turn two and it did this with fetch lands.
Lynx swings for 4 on turn 2 with fetch lands.
At worst with land drops precombat he is kird ape on offense.
At best he is better than the already insane Wild Nacatl is in extended.
Only downside is late game when you run out of land drops, he then becomes pretty worthless.
What happens when I control my opponent's Reveillark with my Sower of Temptation and my opponent plays Wrath of God? Who gets back creatures? Magic the gathering Online gave my opponent the Reveillark trigger and I was wondering if that was correct.
ok, as for running more of a card cause of the new name......O MY GOD 2 GRIizllyBEARS??!?!? It's not like you can run another Cryptic Command, or Sol Ring you can run more of cards you normally wouldn't run 4 or anyways...so who cares?
It's a good point, but it dosn't matter....yet...maybe they make a card it matters on.
Good point, Who cares? I think White Weeny cares about having 8 Crusades now lol.
Why do people keep saying the fetches would be broken in standard? There is nothing to abuse them with. The closest thing to abuse is Bosk and that is not broken at all. If anything, reprinting the fetches will keep extended's mana bases broken after onslaught rotates until ravnica's duals rotate. Not make T2 mana bases broken.
I'm looking forward to the basic land block that Futuresight hinted at being posible. They HAVE to print the 10 fetch lands then.
I hope this means that Conflux will have red artifact themed stuff.
They did make Thirst for Knowlege right before shards that seemed to scream Esper.
Maybe this is a hint at what is in Conflux. IE; Jund artifact creature/burn spells.
I'm prolly just reaching though.
I just noticed the 5 land names from the Conflux list and they reminded me allot of the onslaught fetch land names.
Bloodstained Mire
Flooded Strand
Polluted Delta
Windswept Heath
Wooded Foothills
The 5 CON land names:
Exotic Orchard
Reliquary Tower
Rupture Spire
Shambling Remains
Unstable Frontier
Exotic Orchard UG
Exotic has been a Black word in the past but is not a stretch for Blue.
Reliquary Tower BW
Reliquary- a repository or receptacle for relics.
Rupture Spire RU
Rupture 2R
Spire Owl 1U
Shambling Remains GB
Shambling Shell 1BG
Unstable Frontier WR
Frontier sounds like a Green or White word.
White seems to fit better though.

That doesn't confirm enemy fetchlands, most words are generic/common, but makes the new cycle possible.
Fetches plus some sort of common/uncommon nonbasic with basic land type to fetch for would make casting those crazy tri-color spells so much easier. Oh and don't forget that Wizards said they would print all 10 fetches in one block in the future.
I'm never in favour of bans due to popularity. The card wasn't misprinted, wasn't immediately broken in a 2-card combo, wasn't a game winner in itself. To ban a utility card because it's awesome and therefore popular is always a bad move.
(Basically the same post I've made every time they've done this. :-/)
It is broken with Counterbalance. If not broken it is at least the least fun lock ever.
Just wanted to point out that all the new spoiled tri-color cards make it even more likely that they will make really good tri-color lands. Unless they want to make us angry. Wizards wouldn't like us when we're angry.
If the planes were merging, wouldn't it make more sense for the missing colors in each plane to make appearances in those planes?
Like GWWU
Merging with B and R would give us
GWWR or GWWB or BWWU or even BWWR or RWWU
But overall I feel they will expand more on the different themes of each shard.
I think they will mix the different themes like have enchantment artifact (mixing Bant's theme with Esper's Theme) themed things in Conflux. Maybe just mix the shards that are allied, Just mix Bant with Esper and Naya and so on. Then in Sissor do "Enemy" Shard mixing.
Edit: I am against the idea of changing the color alignments. Just think they could expand more on the shard's themes.
Edit: I just realized that changing the color alignments would really mess up the prerelease's Themed Sealed event. They would have to just stop doing it all together. Not that I think that's a bad thing lol. I Just think Wizards will keep up what they started all threw the block. Oh and them calling the prerelease "Themed prerelease event" kind of makes it look like that IS what the main theme of Shards is and that the whole block will follow that theme but expand on it like in every other magic set.

I got a lightning bolt promo in the mail today so HA.....
Sadly it is ginormous and not legal lol.
extended 5color agro just lost Gaea's Might in the rotation. Now it gets the exact card back! I'm stoked.
