I like blue red. Although it doesn't get love from Wotc.. The last time UR saw something of its color combi was in Guildpact and UR there was rather horrible too. Electrolyze was the best card there??
Fire/Ice or even Prophetic Bolt and Suffocating Blast were my favs.
I really hope UR gets some good cards from the the next set. And lands too.
UR burns draws counters and casts some big creature every once in awhile. The most interesting part about playing UR is the fact that it can win from a very bad situation unlike other color combinations that are either winning or losing . When you play UR, you almost always have your back on the wall.
I tried listening to MTG Cast a long time ago because I saw it on the main page of MTG Salvation and it caught my interest. However, I remember that it was really soft at that point in time so I didn't continue until recently when I randomly downloaded an episode and managed to hear it loud and clear.
As a player, I enjoy any form of Magic media. I like the podcasts from the magic website with the coverage of tournaments which also started a long time ago. I watched the Magic Show after it started getting good and also after I had more time to read & watch Magic. Now, I make it a point to listen to MTG Cast and watch the Magic Show. Knowing how Magic is moving in many other countries is really interesting. I think MTG Cast is worth listening to so congrats on getting to your 100th episode. Having regular podcasts makes it really convenient to follow. I listen to top8magic podcasts too but it doesn't appear as regular as MTG Cast.
Also, it's nice how recognized MTG Cast has become to get its own Preview Card. Another reason to keep your eyes (ears rather) on the podcast so that people can get first hand information. =)
I think ElderDragonHighlander is going to be a rather fun format. I am designing a Maga (commander) deck that tries to get cabal coffers to ramp up maga spams. Wierd huh.
Foreign magic suffer from translations. There was a japanese card that had to get its name errated because it had the same name as another card in the same set. Lol @ that. Imagine opening packs and telling your friend how card A sux when he has a really good card with the same name.
My fav keyword is transmute. Transmute in EDH makes the deck so much smaller. =)
The coolest keyword i know of is wizardcycling. Wizards are just so powerful.
