I'd like to stick with the interaction between hangarbacks / mardu tokens / elspeth tokens and butcher - If I switch to more dragons/foul tongue/draconic roar, it just seems like at that point I should switch to playing mardu dragons. The Hangarback/Butcher/Mardu charm tokens seems to be a quicker deck, hopefully avoiding the quick burnout from RDW. Atleast that was my thought process.
The Kolaghan's Commands were in the decks for the versatility of burn a creature, card advantage by making them discard, recursion for hangarbacks, and also for destroying artifacts since U/R ensoul seems to be popular.

I wonder about the manabase still though - seems like so many cipt lands - seems like I lose a bunch of life also from thoughtseize / pain lands / fetches....
I can kind of offset this with sacking tokens from elspeth/mardu charm/hangarback for lifelink on the butchers
Looking for some advice on this brew/creation. I'm not much of an avid deck builder except a Rakdos Dragons variant I had awhile back that did pretty decent. I think my manabase could use the most help.. It feels like too many CIPT lands.
How about some Risen Executioner in the sideboard instead of rabble? I've played a ton of Esper Dragon / UB dragon in my area, and no one I've played really had a solid/consistent answer for him.. the recursion is pretty nuts.
So you think the Ojutai is out of place in this deck, as well as the foul-tongues? Would you run 4 ashioks? Perhaps add another Ultimate price instead of Secure the wastes
I've just got back into playing after about a 5 year break. I'm not much of a net decker but I could use some helpful criticism with this deck. I was originally playing just U/B dragon control, but I really liked the white I've splashed in. I was planning on taking this to the standard tournament this weekend, just want some more seasoned advice.
