Shirin's eyes seemed to awake when the voice spoke, and they caught the pendant lying on top of the drawer. "So what are the pendant's limitations actually, what can it do for me?" she asked hastily to the voice, nearly speaking those thoughts out loud.

Even though it was cold, Zahira appeared to not be bothered by it at all. Something magical about her robes had repaired them before, and now it apparently kept all cold out as well. She was quite astonished about that fact, but it appeared Wynn wanted her attention as well, so she turned her attention to the conversation. She nodded "I think that fortress is the most interesting target, certainly if what Jenika says is true and there is an artifact in that place... Such an artifact would certainly be of great use to the Senate, I'd think."

Zahira nodded in agreement, she had little more to say right now.

ooc: I'm fine with timeskipping too, unless you have something in store for us right now.

"Well, Jenika..." Zahira spoke after having so long been silent "You did very well, and I cannot really add much to what Wynn told. Of course, you have a lot of training ahead of you, but not training that needs to be supervised. So I'd say you've passed the first test, and after we've had some rest, we'll start with the second and final one." She smiled slimly, as she usually did, and gave an encouraging nod to both Jenika and Wynn.

"Uhhh... and that is?" Shirin shyly asked, feeling it was really hard to concentrate.

"You know... I think I just shouldn't think about it for once... maybe I should just let it happen and hope for the best. Otherwise all this doubt is going to kill me one day..." Shirin spoke in a moment of clarity, but still, it was easier said than done for her.

"Well, I guess it won't hurt to try..." Shirin said with a slim smile, she finally felt a bit reassured, that everything might just as well go right now and not wrong. But in her head, turmoil still ruled, as she now started to plan ahead as usual, which had its up and downsides...

"I just fear in telling her of my... affection... she'll turn away from me, that she'll draw draw the wrong conclusions." Shirin told the other her "I don't even know how she's really like... she acts so mysterious..."

"Um..." Shirin sought and stumbled across various thoughts and memories. She was sure she wouldn't just forget such a trivial thing, because those were often the things she could actually remember, even after months. She tried to imagine the library, but she automatically connected that to Whitney... she damned herself for trailing off like that. It was just her wish to remember the one little detail, not everything that happened today, nor imagine what was yet to come...

ooc: I didn't mean taxing on her magical reserves, but more on her mental condition.

"Um..." Shirin pondered on what to say as she took further notice of the strange phenomena taking place "I guess so, I want to know what's going on with my life... why I feel so strange inside, and not just about the concept of magic..."

Shirin found it odd, disturbing even, that there was again that uneasy feeling in her mind. To add to that, the emotions were still creating conflict in her mind. She tapped out her last resources, the last drops of energy still left, to explain to herself what was actually going on. She probed her own mind with her magic.

Shilana found it hard not to chuckle when Alkalia suddenly took point. However, it also put her more on guard. She sticked close to her friend, both mouth and mind silent, waiting for her to move so she could follow.

ooc: Life's keeping me very busy at the moment, but I really want to play this campaign. I'm not planning to drop out, rather just asking to be patient with me.

"I... I will try to keep that in mind..." Shirin responded as awkwardly as she was feeling. She just wanted to be done with school and get her mind at least fixed a little bit.

"Well, I think I like her... really like her..." Shirin thinks, and lets out a mental sigh "She's... so beautiful, I guess that's what I should call it..."

ooc: Sorry for the wait, life's a bit of a mess lately.

Shilana was ready to counter a possible strike, her eyes probing. She had fallen silent, just trying to act as the protector of the group.
