MTG Salvation

So I recently built a semi competitive Jace VP deck that's been doing pretty well as I'm learning to play it. I'm handily understanding which match ups favorite me and which I could struggle against. That being said I've faced Edgar Markov three separate times now and got completely destroyed. The fact that his eminence ability is a cast trigger makes me not understand how to compete against that. I suppose it's fair that the Jace deck has something that can own it, but am I alone here? How does Jace deal with literal swarms of vampires in the very early game?
