I assume Canadia is a typo and it should be Canada, which means I actually saw Urchin at Canadian Nationals in Montreal this weekend without knowing it ! Since there was only one female judge at the event and I was intrigued by her, I can remember what she looks like : short, black-haired and wearing glasses, but I had no idea who she was at the time. If I'd knew, I would certainly would have told her in person how much I like her CI articles, especially that special touch of humor she puts in them !

    I'm not short!

Also, thanks. I'm glad you enjoy my articles. "Special" is a good word for my humor. I think I'll use that. Hope you enjoyed the event!

You really think Helix Pinnacle is a good card? The first 3 packs I opened at the pre-release that was my rare in all three. I torn the third one in half, I was so frustrated at the time, and traded away the other two to the first person who asked for them.

Well, depends on your definition of "Good." Helix Pinnacle is a good card in the same way that I am a good player. I'm still trying to figure out what that way is, but there must be one. Right? RIGHT?

Mostly, I just think it's fun. I'm working on an EDH deck built around it. EDH is the only constructed format I play, really.

This is not the malapropism you are looking for. Move along *waves hand*.

I think they were running out of synonyms for "god," so they had to use oversoul and overbeing, deus and deity. It's a bit annoying, because it could cause lesser beings (because I would never make that error, obviously) to use the wrong word on accident.

    (Okay, yagotme.)

Good sir, I would like to exchange my nickels for your quarters at this proposed rate. Would you care to engage in such a transaction?

Gah, another typo? This is not my week.

48 thumbs to flip the national debt in nickels.

I could have sworn, that when a target is reselected, it can trigger 'becomes the target of X'.... since it is now becoming a target.......

    Did i miss something?

From the gatherer entry on Grip of Chaos:

"Reselecting a target does not cause abilities that trigger on the "choosing of targets" to trigger."

The "Becomes the target of" triggers trigger during step 409.1c of the playing spells and abilities process. While Kira is technically becoming the target of an ability, it's not during step 409.1c, so it won't trigger. In this case, the rules do not operate in the same way as the English language. Technicalities!

EDIT: The above is not true. I goofed. Sorry about that.

Hey, I just needed to point out that if your opponent plays vindicate with your triggered ability on the stack, then he is cheating and unfortunately you should get the win (even though you are playing both liege of the pit and story circle in the same deck).

Whoops. Good catch. That's what I get for writing the question with the first kill spell I thought of and not RTFCing just in case. So... yes! Vedalken Orrery is in play! Thanks, NightArcher!
