Goal is to quickly ramp so i can get as many creature tokens out as possible before i cast Thromok and then use cards like mage slayer or fling to win the game.
Iv never been very good with synergy so hopefully you can tell me if i did this right, as well as provide some suggestions.
I am also a big fan of creatures that search out lands, Wood Elves & Sakura Tribe-Elder and inexpensive cards that dig into the top of the library like Coiling Oracle (and there's a pile in U that do similiar things), the idea being that your creatures are all more than just a dude.
Then there's a lot of options but top-of-the-library cards are very good, either for extending your hand or allowing you to clear away lands in order to get to creature spells faster: Lurking Predators, Oracle of Mul-Daya, Courser of Kruphix, Vizir of the Menagerie, Garruk's Horde, Future Sight, Nissa Vastwood Seer (the flip version from Origins). The ones that allow you to play lands off your library especially as they can draw you into creatures more quickly and you can always sandbag a couple of lands in hand in case someone gets frisky with mass land destruction.
I'd also look to add in cards that you can sink mana into like Khamal Fist of Krosia or Ant Queen.
What else? I don't think you have a non-creature way of killing artifacts & enchantments, you should include 1-2. Lightning Greaves & Swiftfoot Boots are always good adds if you have them. Do you interact with graveyard much? If not, maybe a couple of ways for you to block other players from doing it would be useful. Ground Seal, Tormod's Crypt, that sort of thing.
I don't think I suggested anything to expensive, you should have acces to most or all of that in the common / uncommon / bulk-rare bins of your LGS and a few from the trade binders. You can always add in some creature tutors in green or card draw in blue if that's the direction you want to go.
Sorry if that's a bit good-stuff-y advice but it's the sort of things that are universally useful in a green based deck. Unless I have a very strict theme that calls for me to build differently, these would be the cards I start with, even in non-budget builds, to set up my bigger plays earlier. Then, as I play, I'd add more or less of these cards to fine-tune.
Hope this helps.
Yeah it does thanks, I actually have some of the cards you mentioned.
Edit: Hang on a second, there is an old and pretty well known mono black combo. Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. The 2 enchants are expensive to cast, though.
this would be easy to do with Crypt Ghast on the field tho. I might test this out with proxy cards. Thank you for the suggestion. My deck runs cards like Gifted Aetherborn, Vampire Nighthawk and Whip of Erebos so it would really easy to do.
Im looking for a mono black or Mono white Modern Legal infinite loop combo (if there is such a thing) to fit into one of two decks im building. Iv been noticing people I play against outside my friends group seem to run these in their deck and I would like to be able to do the same. Im currently building a Mono black Death touch deck and a Mono white token deck. So if you know of anything that fits i would love some ideas. So far my google searches haven't turned up anything worth much. Finding ones that are Modern Legal And Mono colored really limits my options it seems.
I signed up at a local card shop to start taking part in their tournaments. I was wondering if there was any etiquette or rules that I should know before I go? I learned recently that people there seem to Scry 1 at the beginning of the game after mulligans. On another post I mentioned this and one person said that was insane so now I’m all kinds of confused lol.
Since we are on the topic of rules and stuff maybe I can just ask this here instead of making a whole new thread.

So after talking with someone about the Deathtouch + Trample Combo rule, I was thinking of splashing green in my deck for trample. Do you think it would be better to focus on board wide enchantments or should i do Instants and auras so they dont get destroyed as easily?
So I built the beginning of a vampire deck with cards I actually owned last night. Played it against a very quick goblin deck and it did very well. So thought I’d post it here to see if there was anything I can do to fine tune it and make it a deck I could be proud of.
Your deck will need more than just your combo and tutors of course. I would probably dedicate the rest of the deck to slowing down your opponent. My personal choice would be different fog cards. Green walls and black board wipes would probably be good too. You could add other squirrel cards too.
Yeah i was thinking of cards like Deranged Hermit and others that boost squirrels and some low cost creatures to hold him down till he get the combo he needs.
In the same sense what about changing your mind. I have a friend that loves to play something and then be like “oh wait never mind”. Tho he never takes his hand off, Iv seen the card so I can’t see how this would be allowed. I guess it’s not a big deal for just causal play but it’s still annoying. I plan on hitting some local tournaments up in the near future and if that’s something that’ll get us a warning or disqualifed for I’ll choose a new partner.
You will probably need a second color to help you tutor. Black tends to be the best color for tutoring.
But if you really wanted to stick to mono green, you could generate a ton of mana then use Ring of Three Wishes or Planar Portal to get your combo pieces.
Wouldn't be against adding another color. You thinking just draw cards or cards that actually let you search your library? I think i only know of diabolic tutor off the top of my head for the later.

I don’t want to take out too much tho because the deck runs pretty good right now. I don’t wanna mess that up by adding a new color.
