So my question pertains to Mannichi, the Fevered Dream, so assume through some means i have generated infinite R mana. now consider Earth Servant is on the battlefield. Now, for example if i have 8 mountians on the battlefield and i activate Mannichi, the Fevered Dream infinite times would Earth Servant become infinitely large? or would he either be a 12/4 or a 4/12?
So if i copy Ramos, Dragon Engine with Sakashima the Impostor what would happen when i cast a spell? Take this for example; I have Ramos and Sakashima out in the above mentioned fashion. Then i play a 3-colored spell. Would Ramos and Saka each get 3 counters? would Ramos get 6? only 3? the reason i am confused is that Ramos specifically says "Whenever you cast a spell, put a +1/+1 counter on Ramos, Dragon Engine for each of that spell's colors." and Sakashima becomes a copy of target creature but is still named Sakashima.
Worldslayer's trigger will destroy all other permanents even if you make it phase out, or remove it in any other way; all abilities exist independent of their source after they triggered, so messing with their source will usually do nothing. As per the definition of phasing, all permanents that are phased out when Worldslayer's trigger resolves will be ignored. So in this instance worldslayer's ability will be fairly asymmetrical.
Thanks for the detailed response, this interaction makes sense now!
I was wondering how worldslayer interacts with phasing. so say i am able to trigger worldslayer then after damage resolves but before the worldslayer trigger goes off, i cast teferi's protection on myself. What would happen? would the trigger fizzle out? or would it asymmetrically worldslay everyone but me?
You get a trigger for every artifact you control destroyed this way. This is because Scrap Trawler has a leaves-the-battlefield trigger, and those are triggered based on the game state right before the event rather than after. So the Trawler sees every other artifact dying along with it. And since all those artifacts are in your graveyard by the time the triggers go on the stack and you have to choose targets, they are legal targets for those triggers.
Thanks for your quick response! i have been trying to figure this one out for a few hours now. I appreciate the help in letting my inner spike out.
So i am making a commander deck and I was wondering how the interaction between worldslayer and scrap trawler would work. So for example, I have scrap trawler already on the battlefield with 2 other artifacts wurmcoil engine and duplicant and I deal combat damage to a player with a creature that has worldslayer equipped to it. Now, would I get a scrap trawler trigger for scrap trawler, wurmcoil engine, and duplicant as a result of worldslayer? would I get none? I am a bit confused on how this would work out.
