  • posted a message on Morophon as Ally Commander?
As the title says, what do you folks think of Morophon as the head of an Allies focused deck?Tarzi is a good commander, but I feel like she might be a bit better as a 99 due to need to bounce to get her Ally Tutor effect.

Side note: I feel like Morophon makes for a great Eldrazi leader as he lets us have access to not only the colored eldrazi, but colored spells that grant Eldrazi.

  • posted a message on Sentinels of Ulincor - a tokusatsu based set.
Sentinels of Ulincor is set on the planet of Ulincor, a technologically advanced planet where heroes known as the Sentinel Force have spent years defending the citizens against any evils. Ulincor is focused on transforming heroes, monstrous villains, and citizens caught in the crossfire.

Across Ulincor the citizens have been terrorized by the Empty Empire, a villainous cabal from beyond the stars. The Sentinel Force was established to counter this evil. Led by High Commander Gari the Sentinels have established a connection to the Omni Source, an energy deep within Ulincor itself that grants great power to those who wield it. The Omni Source allowed the Sentinels to develop the ability to transform into powerful forms through unity. The citizens of Ulincor have also taken up arms against the Empire to defend their homes.

Ulincor has three major factions. Citizens, Heroes, and Villains. There are 7 major races, Aven (white), Merfolk (blue), Skeletons (black), Lizards (red), Treefolk (green), Humans (all colors), and Horrors (all colors). Each faction brings with them both keywords from MtG past and new abilities.

    https://imgur.com/uGiU5nl

Aven are the denizens of Sunglint Terrace, the northern region of Ulincor and the central source of white mana. Aven are skillful and graceful, making use of their Prowess.

    https://imgur.com/JgaaFRA

The Merfolk live deep within the oceans of Ulincor, making Underflow Concourse their home. As masters of the blue mana and ocean currents they are able to predict the flow of events, Scrying the future.

    https://imgur.com/7oHV9mx

Shadowhold Alleyways serve as the home of Ulincor’s undead, a race of skeletal beings that are granted another chance at life through ancient black mana. Their undying resolve makes them resilient and resourceful.

    https://imgur.com/ap8Y9LS

Fierce reptilians of Torchwind Junction have control of the chaotic red mana on Ulincor. Their willful strength is embodied by how they frenzy against an unwitting opponent.
    https://imgur.com/kCCBf5w

Sturdy and kind are the great trees of Ulincor. Within the Metroquoia Arboretum they build great cities of wood and earth using the green mana, as well as their own energies through convocation.

    https://imgur.com/WeAxyrq

While the other races have mastered their respective mana sources the humans spend their lives becoming familiar with all types of technomagic, granting them access to all sources.

    https://imgur.com/odElloB

Ulincor’s wealth of mana has led to many of its people gaining power from more than one source, leading to hybrid mages.

    https://imgur.com/CDu2umz
    https://imgur.com/g6NgZ7p

The Sentinel Force uses the power granted by the Omni Source to become greater heroes, rivaling the legends of other planes.

    https://imgur.com/9KQ1cRq

Using technomagical marvels crafted by the most skilled tinkerers on Ulincor the Sentinel Force fights as one. They scramble into action, ready to take on any foe.

    https://imgur.com/0KzqQZx

When fighting the Empire and its monsters the SF calls upon giant fighting machines, piloted by their most respected members.

    https://imgur.com/dKNh9iJ

The horrifying Empty Empire, led by Ter’daaz, warp all they touch with ancient magics that bring ruin to all that are touched by them.

    https://imgur.com/j2dgDPx

Using the Warp the Empire is able to turn the average citizen into monstrous villains, granting them unholy strength and great evil.

    https://imgur.com/l0d4xgW

The Imperial Royal family are masters of these monsters, using them to attain new strength. The ruthlessness of the Empire is known by all, with them often betraying their underlings to survive.

So I've been working on a custom set over the past few weeks and while it is still in the conceptual phase I would love some comments on it! This is basically my creative baby and I really want it to shine someday. Over time I am adding and modifying things, so I'm sorry if the link breaks or if something disappears.

Gishath is about 25 bucks foil, but I foresee that going down in a few weeks. The ones that are baffling are Carnage Tyrant and Ripjaw Raptor.

But then I remember standard is a thing.

When Dracovitch and I were conversing about Dinos in the early stages of the Ixalan previews we kinda agreed that while Changelings would be nice, they aren't exactly on theme for the deck. You can use them in your build, but I personally would try to avoid them because I'm a bit of an obsessive when it comes to theme-ing.

Combo Scavenger Grounds with a graveyard shuffler and we can eliminate the opponent's grave while protecting our own gas.

I'm also a huge fan of flickering our ETB dinos. Conjurer's Closetseems like a worthy addition if you want to flicker things, as well as Ghostway

I also think Pariah's Shield could make a good pairing with Kindred Boon as a way to get extra enrage.

It's about time! My feathery dino body is ready!!!

Two tech cards that I dig in here are Gaea's Blessing and Primal Command. These two cards can do what Elixir can, but Gaea's Blessing can also protect us against mill strats due to it's "From the library to the graveyard" effect. Command gives us a litany of effects, and it can get us gas back for the Dino King's hits.
