Shapers sanctuary for the mirror? Kinda shuts down walking ballista, hostage taker and such. I still don't have botanical sanctums so I've been running 2mb and it puts in work. Ripjaw raptor too

Been working on a B/W vamp list. The deck really plays best low to the ground with 4 Sanctum Seeker, 3 dusk//dawn and 2 settle the wreckage as the top end. Been running all creatures with just Mavren for the incidental token production. I'll post a list in a day or so when I'm sitting with the deck.

The main thing I want to say is Sanctum Seeker is THE reason to play vampire tribal.

I really like this list and am definitely going to test it out. Have you considered drover of the mighty in place of the channeler initiate? With 8 Dino's main, and at least I assume a deathgorge and/or ferocidon in the side, it might often be a 3/3 and doesn't run out of "charges"

Side note, I've been running B/W Vamps and have a singleton lost legacy in my main, with the meta being pretty defined I rarely whiff on game 1 if I pull it, and improves the Approach game 1 significantly.

Ooooo. Sandwurm with annointed procession would be backbreaking.

Totally thinking about this too. Aiming at more of a token/huge zombies angle tho. Annointed procession and cast out in white. Growing rites of itlimoc, Lilly's mastery and then massive torments for the win. Almost have a decklist nailed down. I like adding approach as well.

The oasis, verdurous gearhulk and blossoming defense are what really make the dreamstealer shine. Also rishkar. The deck has enough ways to pump other creatures that dreamstealer is often not a 1/2 but a 3/4 or maybe bigger. T2 servant, t3 dreamstealer, t4 verdurous puts your opponent in a bad place. But you don't really ever want the stealer in multiples. A good card that has been outshined in the current meta that I've been working with is Nissa, Vital Force. Her Ult is significant if she survives a turn.

Anyone played with green for zombies at all? Mostly for a bit of ramp from hour of promise and then rishkar expertise for a free Lilly mastery drop plus draw cards. I've been fiddling with it a bit.

So I've been fiddling with this off and on for a few weeks. Will have my rotation proof decklist in the next couple of days.

I've moved up on disallow and down on most of the other counters. Being able to stop a gate to the afterlife or crook activation is a real good play as I run into lot gpg decks. Aether thief has performed well against aggro and is a great scarab god target as it is a 0/4, but not a defender. Aether meltdown is not much aside from a stall tactic, but the energy has helped to further activate demon reanimation.

I did one game cast aether on my own zombie from a never//return cast, then sac to razaoeth, then use the energy to reanimate their glorybringer. You can make some sick nasty plays but as said above, has so many options that you need to play it lots to get used to piloting it.

In watching people play versions of this online, I've seen them pitch some lands into the graveyard. This is hardly ever the play. This deck is hungry for mana. Most games go a bit long as we take a while to set up then durdle about. Having access to 8 mana is really good with scarab god out.

Oh man, aether thief is an excellent add! One of my favorite cards. Aether meltdown could be cool and both give fuel to demon for addition re animation. Thanks!

True. I've been trying to figure out the best game plan for surviving the aggro rush in turns 1-4. If this deck survives those turns it seems to stabilize and turn the corner fast. Been fiddling with harsh scrutiny, lay bare the heart, doomfall, never//return and random counterspells. Nothing really seems consistent tho. Thoughts?

I've been toying with this but just as dimir. The sultan deck looks disgustingly cool but so much of the green rotates out I stuck with just U/B.

I've found that early opening hands with lots of interaction is ideal. Build a mana base, counter and kill some of their stuff, then once we hit turn 4 drop champion then it's off to the races with a Lilly or Scarab god.

So my version of the deck.

Couple of thoughts, my list is very rotation proof, I only have Drana in there. I would love to have a Kalitas or Lilly TLH but it's just not in my budget for only a month and a half of play. I've been thinking about adding a second Drana and removing the Rishkar, but I'm uncertain. But every time Drana shows up, she has ended games on her own. Doomfall has been the real deal. If I had grasp, I would probably use that instead, but this card is flexible and puts in work.

Ran over Ramunap yesterday. Game 1 was a perfect hand, t1-attune, t2-servant, t3-Pummeler, their t3, blossoming on pummeler to save it, t4, second attune, larger, win. Game 2 I assumed he was bringing in abrades, took the pummels, pushes and gear hulks out, brought in ghonti, dream stealers, doomfalls and more never. It was back and forth but I resolved drana t6, then t7 all out attack with drana, hydra, constrictor. He scooped when I blossomed Drana to save her from abrade. We played another match and I beat him another 2 games in a row. Other decks I pummeled (lol) were mardu vehicles, a more traditional g/b snake.

Really just loving this deck, I know it's very similar to the g/b snakes decks running around, but I really enjoy the way it comes together. I feel comfortable keeping almost every opening hand assuming there is a t2/3 play. The number of t4 wins the pummeler gives you is silly. And if it happens game 1, it makes every aggro player slow a bit, not as many all out attacks and gives time for a good board on your side. Added bonus is the deck performs really well even if pummeler never shows up. I had a game where a guy blew 6 mana late for an insult to injury, no attack, just to kill the pummeler.

Doomfall is worth playing IMO. It's a nice blend of removal and hand hate. I've been thinking about adding a couple to the main, but I don't know what I would move to the side for it. I like taking the fatal pushes out a lot for it, mainly because I have no built in way to trigger the revolt, so it's often dead in hand when people sideboard little threats out. But I love having it game 1. Gonna keep tweaking and playing it for a while, especially if it keeps putting up solid results like this.

Edit:sorry for really long post but wanted to mention not running the cub. He can get huge on his own, and I can see him being really good vs control. If more people I played against had control decks I'd maybe reconsider. Same with prowling serpopard.

I really would love to see like dreamstealer in this deck in place of some of the discard spells. But I have a soft spot for the hand hate wizard.

Question about piloting. Do you just mulligan if solemnity isn't in the opening hand? How does it perform without it?

My list is doing very well for me. So far I've beat a r/g gods midrange that my buddy has been winning fmn's with. And a black white life drain rogue deck along with some more proven lists. I'll post my decklist in the next day or so. I will say doomfall has done a ton of work for me.
