To start off, im a long time player who quit a long time ago, and now I suddenly find myself interested again(started at tempest ended at kamigawa). A lot of new rules have been brought up to me recently, and here's my dillema. I had a reanimator (e.g. Animate Dead)Worldgorger Dragon deck that i've kept and now with the rules re: "ability on stack"(correct me if im wrong) its said that if WGD is killed the second ability won't come into play, and basically you are left with nothing on the field. Would I have a chance to counter the spell that killed WGD, because I was thinking that when WGD came into play, my permanents were exiled. Can I still use the mana that was exiled to counter the spell the other player used? Clarifications are very much welcome. Thank you.
