Considering that guy's profile just disappeared and all his posts vanished, I'm guessing he wasn't legit after all. Sad!

I find it interesting that you concluded that instead of considering the possibility that he was saying too much.

Sorry, but you all must be extremely poor to say that "Standard" isn't affordable, or what have you. Cards are at their cheapest they've ever been, aside from Multi-Format All-Stars like Karn, Teferi, etc. So, yeah, I am glad those cards are $30+ dollars, because otherwise, the game would be completely worthless from a collectors point of view. Especially someone who is buying Boxes at $90+ a pop. You people who can't afford to play with that cost basis, really shouldn't be playing Magic at all, and should maybe re-evaluate your lives, and possibly consider getting a better job/second job, because Magic is clearly NOT what you should be doing with your spare time, if that's the way you look at it in your budget...

This comes across as needlessly condescending. What I took away from this thread is that Brawl allows people to play the game using the Standard card pool without having to spend money on the more expensive Standard cards.

This is great. However i feel like you should maybe remove the fourth ability. It is suddenly extremely texty.

Also I believe the fourth ability is not a Tezzeret-ability. Am I correct?

It is now that he has the Planar Bridge.

    We all know that Smile

But this is a different ability. The other four matches his Tezzeret cards. He usually searches, turns into 5/5s or make tokens.

Originally, I was intending to give this a deck tutor ability (especially since Tezz has done it before), but I didn't want it to be too busted, so I settled for putting artifacts from the hand instead.

It is obviously up to you.

If it were me I would rather
    1. Kill the card or
    2. Settle for three abilities

Rather than over-complexing the card with an off-Tezzeret ability. It is not as bad as breaking the color pie but it kind of defeated the purpose of being a Tezzeret card.

If you want a fourth ability you could do a Staff and give it an untap ability like 4: Untap CARDNAME. This would be really berserk in the late game.

I'm not still clear on why you think this is outside of Tezzeret's scope. He makes artifacts and he can teleport things now, so putting artifacts onto the battlefield from your hand doesn't seem like something that would be out of his wheelhouse.

For the record, the +1 and ultimate of the newest Tezzeret card are both things he's never done before, and the ultimate isn't even restricted to artifacts. I made a Tezz card with a similar ultimate in the past, and I was told that that had to be restricted to artifacts because "it wasn't Tezzeret" to fetch any permanent.

Planeswalkers, unlike every single other card in the game, seem to get referred to by gender, for some reason. See, for example: Sarkhan the Mad's first ability or Liliana's Defeat.
That may have something to do with the fact that players themselves are supposed to be planeswalkers flavour-wise.
Maybe? Shrugs I don't know, nor do I really care, it's just something odd I noticed.

Let me put it another way: Planeswalkers are basically additional "players" that help you for as long as they have loyalty. That's the flavour reason behind why creatures can attack them. So, their having genders that are explicitly stated would make sense in that context.

    Tezzeret's Etherium Arm 1UU (R)
    Legendary Artifact
T: Create a colorless artifact token named Etherium Cell with "T, Sacrifice this artifact: Add one mana of any color."
1, T: Create a 1/1 blue Thopter artifact creature token with flying. Activate this ability only if you control three or more artifacts.
2, T: Another target artifact becomes a 5/5 artifact creature. Activate this ability only if you control three or more artifacts.

Love this. Seems like each activation cost should be increased by 1. Also, Metalcraft doesn't seem necessary (especially if costs increased).

So I removed the Metalcraft, upped the activation cost of each by 1, and added a fourth activated ability to give it Trading Post-like utility.

Holy crap, the first PW that makes flying tokens,
    and it's not WU?!

I know five mana is a lot,
but Tezzeret has a ton of potential.

    Every Sarkhan ever?

I assume they meant creating tokens as the defense mechanism for the Planeswalker, not as the ultimate.

Sarkhan Unbroken does do that though.

I like this Tezzeret a lot. I like Tezzeret's cards in general, and I always look forward to them, but I believe that this one might see play in something in Constructed.

Just to add to the other complaints, post-Oath of the Gatewatch, 1 is strictly the symbol for one generic mana in a mana cost ("generic mana" meaning you can pay mana of any color or colorless mana).

The land taps for one colorless mana, and the symbol for colorless mana post-Oath of the Gatewatch is C. So the land should really say "T: Add C."

In Commander, it can remove experience counters too, for whatever that's worth.

A mythic, a planeswalker, ... and can be totally unplayable in limited. That's quite the feat. You need a minimum count of playable zombies in your deck, otherwise she does literally nothing. At all. A planeswalker so narrow does not feel like aplaneswalker to me.

Edit: for the comparison with Sarkhan: his first ability works without dragons and his ultimates not only works but wins you the game in limited.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here and say that by making planeswalkers like this one more restricted to a specific theme, it extends the already limited design space that planeswalkers have. If you keep making generic Lilianas, you'll quickly run out of design choices for the cards that won't end up looking pretty much the same as previous incarnations.

So Bolas lost his power while remaking Amonkhet? (The moment between Apex of Power and Fraying Omnipotence I suppose)

No. He lost it during the mending. The Apex show him at his peak, Fraying when he lost it and the blue one shows one of his schemes to regain the power he lost

Both Apex and the blue enchantment are Bolas remaking Amonkhet in his image, so to speak.

It"s hard to see in Apex's artwork because of the intense CGI'ing going on, but the Talon Gates are visible to his right. Those are on Dominaria on the coast of Madara.

Was there also a pyramid-type structure on that coast? Because I see a pyramid-type structure on the left.

Also I can see the horns quite clearly, but if the Planechase card is any indication, the Talon Gates don't look that smooth and polished.

Isn’t it going to be Jace?

Look at the planeswalker deck planeswalkers, and look at the walkers that have been spoiled in the Core set thus far. After that, tell me what the odds are that we're getting Jace over Tezzeret.

This Liliana seems OK, but I'm not sure if she'll see Standard play as it stands. Amonkhet hasn't rotated yet, so maybe? I can see something happening with the Golgari when Ravnica starts up though.
