@Quakedoom thanks for the report, I'm new here, bought myself a dredge two weeks ago. I feel like I'm losing tons of opportunities each game. The titanshift match is killing me, there are 3 in my LGS. Anyway, the deck is really fun!
@EpicLevelCommoner I'd rather have Walking ballista instead of Rhonas, as in my LGS affinity and burn used to be overplayed. I used to play it so I had a better match against grixis DS, but I find the match slightly favored even without it (I could be missreading the signs, though). At last, the only difference besides Ballista for Rhonas is that I now use 2 Renegade Rallier's instead of yours Flickerwisp + Qasali Pridemage.
I trained against a friend of mine yesterday, and he managed to EOT echoing truth my Eidolon of Rhetoric and then combo, twice. He is also using 4 copies of Remand, which makes me think that both Ad Nauseam and Storm have a much easier time comboing, while our strenght reins in our versatility.
What should the sideboard plan against Storm, Ad Nauseam and Titanshift be? ... I need help.
This build is almost identical to mine, although I gotta admit his sideboard plan is much better. There were counters companies managing top8 in both GP São Paulo and GP Burmingham.
I run a very similar list @Pathrogas (-1 viscera, -1 rhonas, -1 anafenza +3 Renegade Rallier). Went 3-0-1 today (split the last one).
I'd be interested in knowing how you guys sideboard in the most common MU's
Is it correct to shave dorks against GDS and DSJ ?
In which MU's should I shave the ralliers/witnesses?
I went TOP4 in a 40-man PPTQ here in my city. But not only that but 2 other devoted company decks achieved top8 as well. I don't think my build is the best, there's surely some room for improvement. Saffi was good in some games, in one case I managed a collected company into druid and saffi and it really broke my opponents legs (that's a common saying here in Brazil).
I'm still unsure about my sideboard approach, and the São Paulo GP is only two weeks and a half away.
I'm also considering 4 gavony townships, but I don't have the Noble Hierarchs to make that a reality @Pokken . Tireless tracker single-handedly won the game against DS for me, should I use another one?
I've been suffering against grixis DS and esper control. Maybe switching back to Renegade Rallier, even though the match up against burn seems awful, the meta right now is filled with discards and removals, and Renegade Rallier provides great value. I'm taking off 2x Viscera Seer, 4x Kitchen Finks and adding the Ralliers and a Flickerwisp and a Saffi, maybe?
I seldom want to draw a viscera seer. I'm seriously thinking about using only one, as I can chord him easily (as @Pokken said). I'm unsure about Fiend Hunter, it was an ineffective silver bullet in the mirror match (and completly useless in other mirror matches as well). I'm considering using 2x Ghost Quarters.
I went 3-2 today using 4x Finks and 2x viscera build. Lost to a death shadow and mirror match (also using 4x Finks and 2x Viscera). I won against a burn (finks did a tremendous job), against eldratron (he had little removal) and against a grixis shadow (gavony and finks save the day). I should buy myself a Pharika, and am unsure what would give me an edge in a mirror match (he used Pontiff, it was deadly. I was thinking about Linvala)
Have you guys considered Tireless Tracker as a sideboard alternative? I've obtained huge value with him against slower decks.
@FeloniousCrap and @Pokken how do you guys deal with Scavenging Ooze pre-sideboard? I've had a hard time against it playing against an opponent who knows my deck very well. I've been enjoying Flickerwisp so far, and I surely need a lot more experience with this deck. Thinking about using 2x Llanowar Elves along with my 4x Birds of Paradise
@Iaoshun it grows your graveyard and thus makes both Renegade Rallier and Rally the Ancestors way more powerful, while guaranteeing that you will have a land drop. If you don't feel like using it, I think it'd also be better to not use Rally the Ancestors at all, using Chord of Calling instead. You can also try using other milling/dredging tools if you don't like the satyr himself, of course.
Thanks for the report @FC. Why did you sideboard the renegade ralliers out against the Bant Eldrazi? Are you considering any changes to the deck? I'm going to test it out for the first time tomorrow using a list very similar to yours.
@FeloniousCrap, I didn't even play the deck yet, I've just ordered some of the cars that were missing (up to now I played the abzan rally/aristocrats deck). This is the list I'm intending to use:
I trained against a friend of mine yesterday, and he managed to EOT echoing truth my Eidolon of Rhetoric and then combo, twice. He is also using 4 copies of Remand, which makes me think that both Ad Nauseam and Storm have a much easier time comboing, while our strenght reins in our versatility.
