MTG Salvation

[I don't know if this is the place to ask this since I don't really use this site] I know this has probably been asked before, but I'd like to get into Modern. Of course there are videos and other articles but they are all 1+ years old. I want current information on Modern (the meta and such) and how I can get into the format easily. I'm a Standard and EDH noob but Modern seems appealing to me also. What decks are easy to navigate until I understand the meta and such? I've heard mono-red burn a good way to start but I'm just not really sure. Any information would be useful! Thank you!
