I find myself wondering if Wizards did any kind of market testing at all with these. Like if they showed them to any players and just asked "what do you think of these designs?" I find one of 3 likely possibilities regarding this. #1...they just didn't do it at all. #2...they did ask people and for reasons that will forever baffle the finest minds on this planet the people they showed them to gave positive reactions. or #3...they did ask people, the people told them what a steaming pile of stomped dog **** these cards were and Wizards said "well...we like em so we're just gonna go ahead and print them anyway cuz who cares what you think you're a dumb dumb poopy head."

Which of these scenarios is most likely? I'll leave it up to you guys to decide. One thing I know for sure...I hate these damn cards. I hate every single solitary gosh dang thing about them except for the art which looks awesome, but they couldn't even get THAT right because they made the damn art window so small you can't even properly appreciate it!

    Well done Wizards...crikey...

    Pile A:

    Bloodstained Mire (ONS)
    Blackcleave cliff SOM
    Purphuros, god of the forge

    Pile B:

Master piece Sword of War and Peace

I'm going to concur with the couple folks who posted ahead of me here. I'd probably much rather have the sword. I absolutely love the look of the Inventions and these rest of those cards are easy come easy go.

    what's up everyone?

My name is Travis (some folks call me Woody)and I have been in and out of Magic: The Gathering...admittedly much more out than in...since around Ice Age. My first real stint playing the game with any regularity started around the Mercadian Masques block and I played up through Champions of Kamigawa. During that time I was primarily a standard player (or Type 2 as it was called in those days) and eventually left the game as I just got burned out on it. Sold all my cards, walked away and stayed away for quite a few years up until fairly recently. I got back in around the time that Shadows Over Innistrad came out and decided that I would go with Modern this time around. Lately though I've really found myself much more drawn to the collecting side of Magic. I've started slowly picking up sealed booster boxes and I'm also starting a graded collection of Alpha and Beta cards. Both of those sets are a little before my time but I do remember having tons of revised and unlimited cards and there's some serious nostalgia any time I see a Keldon Warlord or Craw Wurm as those were some of the very first cards I remember ever having!

I also recently started up a YouTube channel exploring the many different aspects of my passion for this great game. i really look forward to getting to know some of you folks on this forum and participating in the community! See you all around!
