Ancestral Visions or no? There's a thread on this on the ModernMagic subreddit. I'm of the mind that they're unnecessary and not great. 4 Serum Visions, 4 Spreading Seas, and 2 Jace AoT seems to do the trick in terms of card advantage. Thoughts?
Thinking of cutting Ancestral Vision completely and just running 4 Serum Visions (+4 Spreading Seas). Cheon just 5-0'd a league with no Ancestral Vision (and no Think Twice). What do you all think?
Just ran through my first competitive league in a LONG time. Last time i played Burn. Interested in your feedback. I streamed my games live on twitch while recording and i must say the community was very helpful!
Hey all! Love what you're doing here. Been running a UW Control list recently with some great results. Still, could always be better and so I'd appreciate your feedback. Here's the list -- would love to hear what you think.
This deck is similar to last UW Control list from GP San Antonio.
I'm actually playing 24 lands instead of 25/26 and it works for me. I've not tested 23 lands, but maybe it's too risky.
MB I play Mana Leak, but I think maybe Negate could work better leaving more options in our SB.
Awesome list. Mine's almost identical. Two questions: (1) How do you feel about Think Twice? Still want 4? Curious how 4 Serum Visions + 4 Think Twice is working for you; (2) Do you not like Sphinx's Rev? Curious why you would cut it for Crucible -- why not just have Crucible in the board?
Hi everyone. Long time reader and fan of the thread -- you're all doing God's work.
I'm wondering what you all think of this list that just won a Modern Competitive League. Cuts the black, but otherwise very similar to the current Esper lists. How bad is it to lose Esper Charm and Fatal Push? Seems like it might have all the merits of Esper (minus Charm and Push), but with a great land disruption package and smoother mana base.
The deck is fine. Nothing really stands out to me other than the 3/2 tec edge GQ and the Jaces. Other than that, the only thing I personally would change is making the secure the wastes a White Sun's Zenith but thats just more personal preference than anything.
You wouldn't run the 3/2 tec edge GQ and the Jaces?

I'm wondering what you all think of this list that just won a Modern Competitive League. It's less midrangey than most of the UW decks I see nowadays -- more like Esper Draw-Go, without the black. Question is: does it have legs?
I wonder what people think about extra CA via Wall of Omens. Nassif has been running 4. Anyone else liking Wall?
Could I get a non-video link to the list?
