Magic: The Gathering - Tower Defense

If you want the original WORD File just let me know!!! ENJOY!!!!

MTG Tower Defense is game where multiple players play against The Game Master. The goal of the players is to work together, manage their Lands and Mana, and survive 20 levels of attacking creatures. ( OR LAST MAN STANDING !!! )
    What you need:
    1. Planeswalkers
    2. Tons of Magic Cards – All spells mixed together and shuffled into a big stack.
    3. Tons of Lands
    4. Each player needs 5 dice. Each die indicates a color. ( d6, d8,d10,d12,d20 )
    How to start:
Each player chooses a Planeswalker that resembles his/her hero. There can only be one type of Planeswalker in the battlefield. Each player rolls 2 dice to determine how many spells he/she receives in the beginning. Cards will be drawn from the Universal Planewalker’s Library. This will be your starting hand and will be known as your spell book ( your library ). If a player will discard a card , he will discard the card from his/her spell book. If a player is instructed to draw a card, he/she adds a card to the spell book. EXAMPLE: Jack rolled a 4 and 2 4 + 2 = 6 for the starting hand. The Game Master will deal him 6 random cards from the big stack.

How to cast spells and activate abilities
A player will start off with 5 6d dice. Eachdice represents a mana color ( This is basically your Mana Pool ). In order to cast a spell ( or multiple spells of the same color ) successfully, or perform an ability, the player needs to roll the dice that shares the same mana color, and needs to roll higher ( always higher ) than the spell’s or ability’s converted mana cost. A player can only roll one dice at a time. ( If the spell is multi colored/colorless, the player can choose which die to roll) If a player fails on a roll, he/she loses the dice until the wave is finished, and next level begins.

Example: Jack wants to counter the Games Master’s spell and he wants to cast Cancel from his hand. He needs to roll higher than a 3 using the dice that represents the Blue Mana. Jack rolls a 5, casts Cancel, and counters the Game Master’s spell. If Jack would have failed his roll, he would have placed his Cancel card, and die, into the graveyard.

    The table and working together:
Each player will have his/her spell, graveyard, dice, and Planeswalker. Each player manages his/her own setup, but can help and assist other players. You can play as a team and try to reach Level 20, or you can play until the last Planewalker is standing. The Game Master is the person who sends countless waves of creatures to destroy the Planewalkers. It is the mission and goal of the Game Master to interrupt spells, break up team play, and destroy the planewalkers. The game master will always play first. He/She will cast creatures and spells according to the level of the game. The game will start on level 1 (using the D20) and after the Planewalkers have destroyed all creatures, the game progresses to the next level. Each level will become more difficult and challenging for the Planewalkers,

Casting Monsters as the Game Master.
The Game Master can only cast spells according to the level ( D20 ). If the D20 is on level 8, the Game Master can cast spells that cost 8 Mana , or a total of 8 Mana. Mana will only replenish at the start of the next wave.

The Game Master can only enter one wave of creatures each round ( but more creatures can be added if the Game Master has enough Mana to his/her disposal ). After the wave has entered he is allowed to have 8 ( level 8 ) random cards in his/her hand. The Cards become part of his spellbook. After the first round, the Game Master may start casting spells. The Game Master may draw cards during a wave if a card instructs him/her to do. The Game Master can only start casting spells after the first round. ( Creatures abilities may take effect before the wave starts ) The level on the d20 determines how much mana the Game Master has to his disposal. If the players are busy with a Level 8 game, the Game Master can cast a spell that cost 8 Mana , or spells that is a total of 8 Mana. Mana will only replenish at the start of the next wave.

The Enchanted Artifact ( The Totem )
The Game Master will choose The Totem before the game starts. The players will roll a d20 and the player with the lowest number will receive The Totem. The Totem can never leave the battlefield after it has been selected. Creatures from the Game Master, will only attack a player that has The Totem. After each round, the totem will move to the next player on the left. If a player uses “Destroy/Sacrifice Enchantment”, “Destroy/Sacrifice Artifact” or “ Place target artifact on top/ bottom of library “ on The Totem, it will be passed to a random player, picked by the person who destroyed it. The Totem can only be controlled by players ( Game Master may not take control of the totem ), and will only effect the player who is in control of it. If a player needs to perform an ability, or equip it, he/she needs to make a roll. If the roll fails, the die will be placed into the graveyard, but the artifact will remain with the player.

    How does the rounds work?
The Game Master will put the wave of creatures into play according to the D20 level. Abilities that trigger upon entry will take effect. Creatures can never exceed the life they started with.
Each player places his/her planeswalker into the battlefield. Planeswalkers do not have a limit to life points. After the Planeswalkers have entered the battlefield, the wave will start. All creatures cast from now on will have summoning sickness ( unless it has haste ). If the Game Master is dealt damage, he has to divide the damage among his creatures he/she controls.
Player 1 ( Josh ) will make his first roll and cast a spell. Planeswalker’s abilities can be used.
Player 2 ( Jack ) will make his first roll and cast a spell. Planeswalker’s abilities can be used.
Player 3 ( Ben ) will make his first roll and cast a spell. Planeswalker’s abilities can be used.

The Game Master will now attack the player controlling the totem.

The Game Master’s casts a spell, and decides to attack Ben ( due to the fact that Ben has the Totem ) The Wave will end when all The Game Master’s creatures are destroyed ( or send back to his.her hand, and he.she is unable to cast them again ). All the players return their cards to their hands and the dice are placed back as they were. When a Planeswalker’s life has reached 0, the player has been defeated. The life points of Planeswalkers do not reset when a new wave begins, but continues from where it was during the last wave.

The Game Master’s Library and Graveyard.
Before a wave starts, the Game Master will draw the amount of cards from his/her library ( 100 cards) according to the wave’s level ( level of d20 ). The spells will be added to the Game Master’s spell book. Cards will be discarded into the graveyard and may return to the game if a different card instructs the Game Master to do so. The Universal Planewalker’s Library All players will receive their cards from the Universal Plan walker’s Library. After a wave has been defeated, the Game Master will give each player a random spell from the Universal Library.

The Universal Planewalker’s Library (100 cards) will be used if a player needs to draw a card, put a card on top of a library, or on the bottom of the library. Players have lost a game and have been defeated if the library is empty, and no more cards can be drawn.

    Rewards and Upgrades
After each wave has been defeated, the Game Master will give each player 1 random Land Card, and 1 Random Spell card. The Spell card will be added to the player’s spell book. According to Jack, he needs 2 Blue Mana and 1 Colorless Mana ( Any Color Mana ) to upgrade his Planeswalker. Upgrading can only take place before a wave starts. If he does, he needs to hand over the Mana cards to the Game Master, and choose the following:
    1. Extra dice for the dice slot. – If he fails a roll on a Blue spell, he has an extra dice that can still be used during the wave.
2.Upgrade your dice. – A die can be upgraded to the next level. Each Mana Group has to be upgraded according to the following: d6 , d8, d10, d12, d20

    Making Your Spells Cheaper
After a wave, and everyone has received a random land card, and spell card, each player can decide what to do with their spells and lands. Spells and lands can be traded among players, and players can use land cards to make spell casting cheaper. Example Jack’s team is in trouble, and knows that he needs to destroy The Game Master’s creatures. The only way that he can do this is by casting the spell Wrath of God. If he decided to cast this spell, he needs to roll a 5 or 6 due to the fact that it costs 4 White Mana to cast, and he decided to upgrade his Blue Mana Section. Jack decided to use his White Land card ( which he received after defeating the wave ) and add it to the White Mana Section. He TAPS the White Card for effect. Now Jack’s Wrath of God is 1 White Mana cheaper and he only needs to roll, 4 or higher. The Land Card will stay on the table until the player decides to remove it. A player can remove the land cards if he/she wishes to upgrade his/her Planewalker, or want to trade with another player.

Attacking and Blocking: Attacking and blocking is exactly the same as original Magic: The Gathering. If the Game Master has tapped all his/her creatures, and no creatures are available to block an attacker, the Game Master must divide the damage among his creatures. If a player has tapped all his/her creatures, and no creatures are available to block an attacker, the player must deduct the damage from his Planeswalker’s Life Points.
While player 1, 2 and 3 are attacking, the damage that is done to the Game Master’s creatures, will accumulate, and will only be removed ( reset ) when The Game Master starts his/her turn. It is important to remember that each player receives an opportunity to attack the Game Master.

    Resurrection( BUY BACK ):
If a Planeswalker, has died, is destroyed, or exiled, the player can resurrect his/her Planeswalker if he/she has 1 of each Land Card. Everything ( spellbook, dice, and Land Cards connected to the Mana ) will stay the same. Other players may trade in their Land Cards before a wave begins in order to save a fellow player.

    Some Basic Terms and Words
Tap Target Creature Creature is tapped and cannot block or attack until player’s turn.
Discard Card Discard a card from your spell book. Draw a card. Game Master gives a card for the spell book.
Tap for Land / Additional Land Land is added. Can be used to make spells cheaper
Exile Removed from the game until called back
Bring back from grave yard Return from graveyard.
Haste Can attack immediately / Applies for Game Master as well. swampwalk, etc etc If you have a Land Card connected to your Dice Sections that shares the same color.
Life Link Life is added to your Planeswalker
Abilities Roll must be of the same color and higher than ability’s cost.
    (X) Roll must be of the same color and higher than ( X ) cost.
