Not quite sure where the race swap assumption comes from - if you're assuming she's Thran, the Thran are/were humans, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician was one of them. At any rate, she's held to be one of Jodah, Archmage Eternal's ancestors (Jodah apparently also being descended from one of Urza or Mishra through Kayla's son), and Jodah is talked about as being 100% human.
If her skin tone is inconsistent...yeah, blame a style guide changing somewhere.

I agree with the quality of story complaints. I do care about the story though. If I'm being honest, I liked when the creative team did the stories every week. They were fun reads and the perfect size to be digestable. Just a shame we aren't even getting that this time . . .
There's no need to be a dick about it is all I'm saying. Turning away prospective forum-goers because they enjoy cards and want to talk about them and maybe skim the rules the first time around? No. That's always bothered me about this forum. How people get so snappy and demanding over new people.
