lands are colorless unless something changes their color, so I wouldn't worry about that. An swamp animated with Spellbomb is still a valid target for Eradicate.

I would question how well this is going to do in general. Modern manabases tend to be nonbasic heavy, and you've got a pretty mediocre combo unless you can hit at least a couple lands in play with it.

Thank you for assuaging that particular worry! And I feel my deck might still put up a decent fight. The other half of it is creatures that take advantage of black/green, so with luck I'd have a strong base to attack with before I ever pulled out the combo. Not to mention I don't have to target just basic lands. My meta isn't super heavy with nonbasics, usually.

Thank you very much for the information! I suppose I should have been clearer, I was looking to exile/destroy/whatnot basic lands as a group.

I've tentatively decided on the combo of Lifespark Spellbomb and Eradicate, though that may eventually change to Enchanted Evening and Scour to avoid that weakness of Eradicate in not being able to get rid of black lands in that fashion.

But nevertheless, thank you for replying!

I'm working on a Modern land-hate deck (on tappedout) and I need some advice. I'm building the deck around Splinter, paired with Liquimetal Coating or Myr Landshaper. The goal of course is to target a land in my opponent's deck and make it an artifact, then destroy that artifact and every other card with that name in my opponent's deck with Splinter. Fairly standard stuff.

What I'm having trouble with is finding another way to cause this effect, so I can double my chances of destroying all their lands. I've seen other cards that are somewhat similar to Splinter, like Echoing Ruin, but it doesn't quite do the same thing.

I'm doubtful that there's another card or combination of cards that will do the same thing as Liquimetal Coating and Splinter, but I thought I'd ask my fellow players.

    Any help is appreciated!
