I like that lol... It may work... plus everybody has counters as far as I know.... ether way It's interesting concept... and makes cards more versatile.
city elve[mana]green white[[mana] 1/1 trample... you may pay [mana]blue white[mana] instead but if you do city elve is 1/1 flying instead... sorry I think this will work... I'll edit it accordingly.

not really. one I don't have a scanner or artistic ability. the best way I can describe it is... you have two cost for a card.. the first cost leads to result X... the second cost leads two result y... so basically result X would be slightly different than result Y. but not by much... I will see wat I can do about the card design though... this is how I have it laid out in my mind.... card cost {2 white} mana and one green mana.... this is x cost... but in the cards description it says instead of paying the {2 white}.. you can play {2 blue} doing so means this card is a 1/1 flying instead of a 1/1 trample. paying tthe white would be y cost. were as paying the lue would be x cost.
P.s. You would still pay the one green mana ether way. you just chose wether you pay white or blue mana.
this would be a little different than that because pay instead and not pay in addition... but that's basically the basic idea.... kinda.. ty anyways though.
I think it would e complicated... but I have an idea how it would work... It would have the regular text right side up on a regular cost of the car but on the bottom of the card would be the differed cost with text upside down to show it's alternate. so basically if you pa that you play the cards top facing you. that is to show you did pay the deference but that's jus me. i love the idea but it would be tricky to implement. I agree.
ps.s the cards would be rare probably.. so yeah, they would have to be.
I had an interesting idea I sent to wizards of the coast. below is an email I sent them with the idea. I wanted to see what other people thought. how would this change the game. in your opinion would it be a good thing... is it crazy or just crazy enough to be awesome.

I had an interesting mtg mechanic for the game... I call it difference payments. It basically works as a card ability bender. so If you have a card. It would be start with it's basic cost of the mana type that the color of the card is. and then one additional mana type. this would make it use it's default. so if I had a 1/1 wall with flying. the thing is you should be able to pay instead of the additional color an equivalent cost. so I say tomb walls{card I made up in my head. that cost one white mana{because it's a white card. and two additional black mana. If I pay this it will come on as a two/two wall... but If I want to play blue instead of the black... it would be a one/one flying wall.... ironically though it dosen't ave o just bend the cards strengths. It can also bend the cars type.... say we take feril monkey helper{also card I made up} you can cast it's one green.. one red... to get a one/one creature.. but you may cost one green.. one white.. it can be cast as an enchantment...
I ask my bff if he wanted to play mtg with me. he wants to but he has no deck. so I told him I would build him one in the color/s of hiice. he said white and green. here's the problem... I don't have enough green cards. I have way to many blue cards though. ny idea where I can a green where starter deck.
