When your upkeep begins, the first abilities of Master of the Wild Hunt and Call to the Grave will trigger. Since both are controlled by different players, you, as the player whose turn it is, put Master of the Wild Hunt's ability on the stack first and your opponent puts Call to the Grave's ability on the stack above it (C.R. 603.3b, 405.2), so the latter gets to resolve first (C.R. 116.4); when it does you must sacrifice a non-Zombie creature. (If the only non-Zombie creature you control is Master of the Wild Hunt, you must sacrifice it.) Then, when Master of the Wild Hunt's ability resolves, you create a Wolf token. (It can resolve even if Master of the Wild Hunt was sacrificed beforehand [C.R. 112.7a].)
Im confused wouldnt i be able to sacrifice the token and not my creature???
Hi im trying to find a comander of a deck i want to build. The deck i want to build is a token counter deck. I want to have at least black in it. Perferably a commander that costs 4 or less. I would like the commander to have an ability as well. I have been looking and havent found a card i like, so if you have any suggestions i would be very appreciative thanks.
So i was playing a game with my bf and we were trying to figure out how the rulings would work with this situation, which i typed up below.
It had just turned to my turn, my bf had a Call to the Grave and i had a Master of the Wild Hunt on the field.
So the question is which ability would happen first??
Do i get the token and then can sacrifice it or do i have to sacrifice my Master of the Wild Hunt??
We couldnt figure it out so we just decided that i can get the token and sacrifice the it, but we want to make sure its right.

I have been playing mtg since I could remember, my parents used to play and it sorta became a family tradition and now most of my extended family play as well. I now live with my boyfriend who also plays mtg. I go to pretty much all the local card shops in the area and play mtg along with other games (I'm a big gamer I play video games, board games, card games, dice games, rpg games, and whatever other games you can think of). Mtg is my favorite game above everything. I mostly play casual but love commander as well. I don't really play modern or standard currently but hopefully eventually I will.
