With Dominaria, the planeswalker redirection effect in the rules was eliminated (C.R. 306.7 now says that this used to exist previously). However, the release of Dominaria didn't change Earthquake's text, which still says "Earthquake deals X damage to each creature without flying and each player", or Flame Rift's text, which still says "Flame Rift deals 4 damage to each player". On the other hand, Lightning Bolt was changed so that it can now target a planeswalker: "Lightning Bolt deals 3 damage to any target", which means "... target creature, player, or planeswalker" (C.R. 114.1a, 114.4).
I’m still confused with this ruling. I know that chandra, torch of defiance first ability can’t hit a Planeswalker now. What about Unlicensed Disintegration? Is it wordings like opponents and players that makes the difference?
What happens to an Aether Meltdown once I use it to enchant a Gideon of the Trials when he stops being a creature and goes back to being a planeswalker? Does it fall off or stay on?
It is my first main phase and I haven't played a land yet. I cycle Shefet Monitor and put the land in play. Then I draw from the cycling and I draw a land. Can I play that land for the turn or does my land from the cycling count for the first land of the turn? I believe that I can play the land since the cycling say put onto the battlefield and not play right?
If I have a metallic mimic in play with zombies named and I have a mimic in the graveyard as the only creature in the yard and I cast a diregraf colossus. Is the mimic in the yard a zombie since I have a mimic in play naming zombies? If so it will get two counters right?
When I crew heart of Kiran and attack with him and my opponent casts a grasp of darkness on him when I attack, can I respond to it by using my veteran motorist to crew him and give him the +1/+1?
What happens if you miss the energy counters from casting Aethersphere Harvester? Also, what happens if you cast a Woodweaver's Puzzleknot and you gain the life but forget to get the energy?
Say I have a Deadlock Trap in play and my opponent has a Felidar Guardian. It is my opponent's turn and he casts a Saheeli Rai. Is there any time I can stop his combo with the trap because after the Saheeli comes down, he still has priority so once he activates the -2 coping the guardian I can respond to it but I'll just be stopping the current Saheeli in play and then he will have a new one after the copy of the guardian goes off. So is there any time during the combo I can use the trap to stop the combo from going off with the trap?
