I really feel like Refurbish as stated would be a great addition into this deck. Maybe even Noose Constrictor? Could easily splash your Aether Hub for a green for it. This has some serious potential I think. Just have to iron out the kinks. Very interested to hear from what your experiences are when you get it running!
This is just a rough idea I made up quickly. Let me know what you think. Could easily build off of a more reliable deck. I kept it pretty simple and budget friendly so if you do like it then it won't hurt your pockets. Also everything is from Amonkhet for ya.
I really feel like you're right that he will shine somewhere other than standard. He reminds me of an alternate version of Griselbrand to me. Hopefully he gets some kind of play. I love the card art!
Just seeing what others have thought about this card. Razaketh, the Foulblooded What is your honest opinion of it? The high CMC is hard enough let alone the triple black required. Casting for its mana seems difficult but not impossible. So figured we could come up with alternate ways to get him out and discuss it. Now if you're a masochist and want to pay that steep CMC I'll throw in easier ways of course. Here's what I've come up with. Some are more difficult to attain than others, some are just obvious, and even what seems counter productive. Now these stated options are viable for just about any high CMC creature not just Razaketh. (NOTE) This is standard legal options.
First route obviously would be put to reanimate him by discarding him to the graveyard and come back with Liliana, Death's Majesty -3.
Planar Bridge an other way to cast for "his" CMC but an easier way to go around the strict mana requirements.
What do you think is your preferred route? Maybe a combination of two of the options to increase your chances or did I miss another route? Lets discuss!
I'd definitely add in some type of board wipe if I were you. Any aggro deck will run through you once they get rolling. Especially with all these zombies and others that can just come back from the graveyard. I'd add in some Sweltering Suns and more creature bodies than just 2 Bedlam's. Glorybringer would be a great addition for board control. Goblin Dark-Dwellers or Wildfire Eternal would do good with ya. Thermo-Alchemist could be a nice source of damage output too. All depends on what kind of route you're looking to take.
I really feel like you would be missing out on Crested Sunmare full potential without having a reliable sacrifice engine. You've only got Ayli as a stable source but she's got a weak body with nothing to defend herself with. One Fatal Push or even a Harnessed Lightning and shes gone. Yahenni, Undying Partisan or Syndicate Trafficker would be a more reliable choice. Especially having Stockpile. Sure you're losing health gain from Ayli but you're gaining stability from indestructible and potentially a stronger entity they'll have to deal with. Bonus is Yahenni's sacrifice costs nothing. Do it whenever you want. I'd probably take out Felidar and put in Bontu the glorified imo. Drana's Emissary would be a maybeboard as well. Its a guarantee horse token each time it is your turn plus flying is a more likely chance you'll swing in for free damage.
Well it is a deck that encompasses from sacrificing a creature for an alternate desirable outcome. Often seen effects would be an enemy loses 'X' life while you gain 'X' life, target creature gains +X,+X and/or "random temporary ability", creature gains protection from color of your choice or Scry 'X' or Draw 'X'.
What colors does this typically run?
Often seen combos are: black/white, black/green, black/red or black/blue or sometimes a tri-color combo of any of the listed. You should find what clicks for your own play style.
This is my take on the often off the wall deck archetype. I am currently keeping it from Kaladesh on up. It is my personal opinion to do so but I will talk about some other options from previous current standard legal blocks, I will offer budget friendly options, and notable mentions! Please feel free to leave feedback and what you run with or what I should use! Love to see what others have for ideas. Remember it's always good to think "outside the box".
So here is a quick brush up on cards from previous blocks that are still standard that you may want to add to your deck. Cannot go without saying Zulaport Cutthroat. He does exactly what the deck wants and fills in a lower curve of creature CMC. Westvale Abbey I'll just leave this right here. A great win-con when you have multiple tokens/creatures out with an engine to fill your fodder. Who doesn't like a 9/7 demon anyways? Grasp of Darkness Hands down an amazing spot removal with instant speed. Stasis Snare Yet another instant speed spot removal. Angel of Invention Another alternate win-con. Buff up all your creatures including your little 1/1 tokens. All while increasing Marionette's potential damage output and while fueling your sacrifice fodder. I say yes!
Here's to all my other Planeswalkers with not so much deep pockets. I've got you covered. Sacred Cat Has some sustain from lifelink, you can choose to sacrifice it and bring it back. Great vs aggro match ups and board wipes. Doomed Dissenter Another good option as Sacred just doesn't have sustain. Oketra's Monument Great alternate to Anointed. Doesn't double your output of tokens but it definitely keeps them coming at a faster rate. All while keeping some creatures cheaper! Can't afford any of the Gods? Kambal, Consul of Allocation and Bontu's Monument fills the spot while keeping the theme. There's quite a few other options you can run. I can help if you need any ideas.
Notable mentions! Tattered Mummy Why not sacrifice something and make them lose even more life? They'll love you for it! Inspiring Statuary can free up more needed mana per turn! Metalwork Colossus I could see this card making its way somehow into the idea. Could easily fill him in if you tried. Especially running both Monuments and Statuary. Syndicate Trafficker Yet another sacrifice outlet and gains indestructible? Uh, nice! Altar's Reap Another sacrifice outlet with card draw to fill your hand. Diabolic Tutor Looking for that specific card? Is it one of the Gods or maybe Metalwork?
As always let me know what you think! All feedback is good feedback. Even constructive criticism.
I've ran a similar deck as this in my FNM and I've tested it a lot with all my friends. Here is my spin off of it and just some of my own 2 cents. Sorry in advance I'm a noob at posting deck lists haha.
Everything is pretty straight forward control. I love combustible gearhulk over bedlam Reveler. It's a personal preference. Yes I'm spending more mana to cast him but theres a different payout in the end IMO. I'll explain why I'm striving to put him in the deck. I have been wanting to find a way to put Saheeli Rai in somehow but I am struggling. Her +1 is amazing for the deck seeing as you can look at what you'll be getting next from Fevered Visions. Don't like it? Put it on the bottom of your library! Her -2 would do wonders with copying Dynavolt to obtain more energy for burns! If I could find a 3rd artifact to pull out her -7 then the fun would begin. Don't have your Gearhulk out yet? Now you do. Need more energy? Now you have it. Etc etc. Thoughts?

I also thought about having Champion of Rhonas exert him out. If you need help finding him just use Diabolic Tutor.
Reason // Believe could set you up for a game changing play next turn or the same turn.
A more difficult route but possibly more rewarding would be Samut, the Tested with her -7.
Using Eldritch Evolution would be another route but seems more counter productive to sac a 6 CMC creature. Never the less still an option.
Nahiri, the Harbinger using her -8 is another option but doesn't seem to be as big of a pay off.
Now if casting for his mana would be your route Vizier of the Menagerie is your go to.
Planar Bridge an other way to cast for "his" CMC but an easier way to go around the strict mana requirements.
