If I were to copy a Gonti's Aether Heart with Mechanized Production for example would I be able to use the new (or old) copies exile ability to take an extra turn before the legendary rule kicks in and one is sent to the graveyard? I fear no because the legendary rule is a state based action and doesn't use the stack but the ETB ability triggers off both copies so maybe I can sneak in to do something before those resolve if they occur before the legendary rule does?
Does Skin Invasion transforming into Skin Shedder trigger Prized Amalgam? I'm thinking it does but I'm not sure because it's not a creature when it's in the graveyard and also not sure when the transformation is exactly. Does Skin Invasion enter the battlefield and then transforms into Skin Shedder (and I think that wouldn't trigger the Amalgam) or does Skin Shedder enter the battlefield triggering the Prized Amalgam?
Hi, sorry to bud in on this but I don't really understand why it works with Diabolic Servitude the way you guys describe it. Diabolic Servitude second ability says that when the creature it enchants dies it gets exiled, so my understanding would be that the Child of Alara ability would never trigger because it does not enter the graveyard but is exiled instead.
Or does dying imply that it enters the graveyard first and only after that it would be exiled?
Two questions actually, one about Thing in the ice and one about priority. First off, if I have a Thing in the ice in play and I cast an instant or sorcery that my opponents counters, do I still get to remove a counter from Thing in the ice? Because the wording says "whenever you cast" instead of "succesfully cast" though I've noticed the latter wording doesn't seem to be used anymore so maybe now the "succesfully" part is implied? Is there a difference between this "whenever you cast" and for example the on-cast trigger on Emrakul and other Eldrazi that can't be countered by regular counterspells?
Second I have a question about priority, when it's my turn and I'm attacking with a 1/1 creature for example that isn't blocked, if I have two Giant Growth in my hand can I, before damage dealing and after (no) blockers have been declared, cast one of the Giant Growth, pass priority to my opponent (to see if maybe he tries to bolt it first) and if he does nothing in response can I still cast the second Giant Growth or does priority not return to me at this stage? So basically, if I really want to cast both Giant Growth do I have to cast both before I pass priority or can I pass it after the first so I have the second one ready to react to any damage he might try to do to my creature before it gets pumped? I know I can do this in my main phase but can you also do it before damage?
